Summary (Rated 8 out of 10)
With 60,000 plus players online at any given time, Party Poker is most certainly the biggest online poker site around, but is it the best? The short answer: yes and no. In terms of game selection, organization and variety of opponents it is unrivalled and will most likely maintain its dominance for these reasons, but there are relative weaknesses. Slightly mundane looks and some flaws in usability will send a few players elsewhere, though the defections won’t be enough to dampen the Party.

Game Selection (Rated 10 out of 10)
When pondering how Party Poker came to be the industry’s biggest hitter, one need look no further than its game selection. With almost every game size, type, and stake available, and usually several of each, this is Party’s biggest strength and the benchmark for all other sites. Cash games offered are all hold’em games, limit and pot limit Omaha, and 7-card stud, with each of these ranging in stakes from as low as 10c/25c to $100/$200. The extremes of micro-limit and high-limit, as well as Hi/Lo games, are the only minor oversights here but they do have a set of beginner tables for new users and some interesting jackpot tables, such as ‘bad beats’.
Tournaments play is also impressive, with plenty of pretty much everything. Single and multi-table sit-and-go’s are offered in an incremental range of buy-ins, though it has to be said, not quite as graduated as it could be and nothing below the $6 mark. This slight criticism is overcome though by the unending array of qualifiers and satellites, or ‘steps’ as they are called, to every imaginable game including loads to the WSOP itself. This is also true of their daily, scheduled tournaments, which are particularly useful for the regular freerollers out there as there are dozens of every kind every day. Promotional games, speed games and re-buy games also give a bit of extra variety.

Quality of Players (Rated 7 out of 10)
As you would imagine with a site which draws numbers bigger than the population of some small countries everyday, the quality of player at Party Poker is all over the map. The best and most experienced as well as weakest and most inexperienced flock here in droves making playing standards highly variable from table to table. One way in which Party Poker tries to moderate this is through their ‘beginner’ tables which are exclusive to new accounts for a specified period of time. This is a good place for novices to get their feet wet but also invites good players to come on board and fatten up their bank-roll before playing on the rest of the site.
As the stakes go up the quality of player also, understandably, goes with it but perhaps not with such predictable order as in other poker rooms. The massively high traffic and profile of Party Poker brings with it all kinds of beginners including those with a bankroll, so that, where another site’s high stakes tables may be a no-go area for some, here they may be the most profitable of all. The general hold’em-heavy orientation of the site may too keep player quality down slightly, as the all-round and therefore usually very good player will sometimes look elsewhere.
Software (Rated 8 out of 10)
The software at Party Poker is solid in most aspects, as would be expected of a room this size, though it’s not quite the best out there. Download, installation and setup are good and movement around the site is as responsive as is needed, though again not as quick as some. The main strength of Party’s software is the excellent service it brings to its many customers. The main interface provides a multitude of user options with outstanding internet support a particular asset.
In-game play is reasonable with actions quite responsive and chip dispersal prompt. Cards are also dealt and folded quickly making for some speedy game play and there are none of the annoying and at times distressing pauses as players wait to discover if they have won a particular hand. There is a lack of some of the basic pre-select action buttons, such as the call prompt, making things like multi-tabling somewhat difficult. Party Poker has introduced some very interesting innovations though, such as a table resizing capability and a table-tiling option where several tables can be viewed on screen at once, certainly addressing the multi-tabling problem effectively.

Graphics (Rated 7 out of 10)
It is surprising that, for a site which is so popular and of such high general quality, the graphics of Party Poker are so unspectacular. The main user interface is primarily geared toward organization and practicality, in which it achieves a high standard, rather than appearance. Color, atmosphere, and creative theme are sacrificed for usability and to some extent it is worth it, with the most simple and well-organized game selection lay-out of any site. Lobby information about tournaments, prizes, and players is also excellent.
If lobby and interface graphics are decidedly underwhelming then table graphics are flat-out dull. A small number of avatars is about the height of creativeness for this site, though these are not even selected by each player individually and are debatable in the quality of their animation. Table, card and chip graphics are about as simple as they come but, it must be added, are also very user-friendly and practical.

Profitability (Rated 8 out of 10)
Despite the lack of a great bonus or any particularly lucrative playing options, Party Poker’s unique image and status maintain the site as a very profitable proposition. Its sheer size and advertising power means that it is a place where players looking for a first online poker site are more likely than not going opt for, yet, it does not have the range of micro-limit table at which these players would normally be found. This results in some loose and juicy pickings at the no limit hold’em cash tables particularly.
There isn’t the same variety of jackpot games as at, for instance, any of the iPoker rooms such as Noble Poker or Titan Poker, but there are options for players wanting to make a lot from a little. One of these is the ‘steps’ games in which you can qualify for $50 sit-and-go through a $10 sit-and-go. Most profit from Party Poker though is derived from playing on a site swimming with beginners, yet with few safe havens in which they can hide.

Finished: DEC 2007
Play Time to finish the Bonus: NOT MUCH (about 3 hours)
Played at: 10-handed NL $0.25/$0.50 - $1/$2
Software:
Party Poker has one of the most clearly arranged lobbies, the tables and gameplay are average.
Deposit Bonus: Well, I chose the $25 fixed bonus, which you get if you earn 100 Party Points. You can cash out the bonus at once!!!
Players: From very good to absolute fish. If you are an average player you should be able to make some money!
RESULT: One of the best PokerSavvy bonuses with a very good deposit bonus that is very easy to complete!!!

The software on Party Poker is on of my favourite.
Players are not that good so you can earn a little bit of money beside the savvybonus.
That bonus is very easy to clear in there. It just took me 2 hours while playing 4 tables on NL200.
Pretty Good

I like PartyPoker. The players are horrible, the software runs great, altho I don't like the avatars sitting on the table. The PartyPoint system, however, is just absolute rubish. You get points for playing 20 raked hands at a table. But when you play for instance 79 raked hands. You don't get the points times 4, but times 3. Since you missed 1 raked hand. I think this is just a very sad tactic to use on your customers! But overall the room is terrific.

Very good and quick bonus. Players in PartyPoker's micro fixed tables are very weak. So bluff.
Very many tables to choose and great game selection. Software is good and multitabling is easy.

Party Poker bonus was incredibly easy to complete playing only 1 NL25 table. This was the first Savvybonus I have ever completed. To gain partypoints you have to play tables at least as big as NL25. I liked the software and graphics. Competition was really variable. There were some good players also but most of players at NL25 were relatively fishy. I have nothing to complain about full 5/5 stars from me. Really easy 500 savvypoints here.

I mostly play 5-6 handed NL5-NL25 and Party's short handed tables start from NL25, so I had to play at max level all the time to get this bonus done. NL25 was quite fishy and the raked hands needed were quite easily gathered so I got the bonus done, but i preffer sites that have more low limit short tables.
Client was easy to use, and money transfers from moneybookers and to moneybookers were fast. Quick and easy bonus.

If you spent all your money before you recive your partypoint, just wait some weeks or month and they will give free money up to 30$, so at least I could complete my points. Easy

Overall the bonus at Party Poker is very easy to clear. I had it finished in 2 days and it only took about another 2 days to get my savvy points in my account. For the most part the players are pretty loose so you should make a bit of profit at the same time.

This was very easy bonus to clear! Overall, Players are awful on party, and you can get points quickly since hands are raked quickly - even at the small tables!
Highly recommended.

Party Poker has simple, easy to use, software. One of the advantages playing on a big site like this is that there's a lot of tables and a lot of weak players! Also, another plus, the PokerSavvy bonus was very easy to clear! Although the deposit bonus was a bit on the small side, it was very easy to release. Enjoy the PokerSavvy Bonus on Party!

I like Party Poker because of their nice, user friendly software. They have a lot of players, you can find active tables during every part of the day. I played $25 max buy-in no-limit games and it was quite easy to clear this bonus at those stakes.

Party Poker was nice experience for me, but I didn't like the skin. I don't know why, but that was it. The skill level of the other players was okay, it's sad that American players are not there anymore. Party Poker is targeted to people who want to play poker for fun. The deposit bonus offered by Party was kind of poor...

Party Poker is part of a huge network. There are players online all the time. There are a lot of fish at the lower stakes. The support staff is very nice, after making a deposit they called me up on the phone and welcomed me to the site. The withdrawal was also great, it took me less then 24 hours to receive my money in my Moneybookers account. Another thing I liked about Party Poker is that they had mini-view tables, so it was easy to play up to twelve tables at the same time.

Party Poker is a well known poker site, but my playing experience wasn't as pleasant as I expected it to be. The software was okay, but not great. The SavvyPoints bonus is very small, but easy to complete. There are many different tables and it's easy to get a game going.
#1 Recommendation!

This bonus is my #1 recommendation in almost any article concerning building a BR - and not without reason. Especially with Party's new rake structure, it's easier than ever to meet the required raked hands - totally risk free if you're playing fixed-limit. Their software is okay, a bit plain, but there are many layouts to choose from. Games are good and frequent, just watch out for the short stacks at no-limit tables or the nits in the fixed-limit games. Unfortunately, Party Poker has changed their reload bonus conditions, but the PokerSavvy bonus still is the way to go!

Party Poker has very good software, multi-tabling is no problem. Tight-aggressive is the style employed by most players, but there are enough fish to earn money. The customer support is not good.

After 1.5 year of intensive online playing this was my first time I played at Party Poker. First to say is that I loved the software, it was easy to use, fast and reliable. Customizable table sizes is great feature! I thought the games were pretty tight and aggressive. The 'Players to Flop' percentage was 12%-15% in many full ring games which means you have to adapt your strategy to these games. Also, there are lots of players only buying in with short stacks. Overall I liked Party Poker, especially because of the bonus from PokerSavvy!

Never played such an easy bonus before! On top of their deposit bonus, you get 1,000 SavvyPoints for signing-up through PokerSavvy, that's $100 extra, right back into my Moneybookers account. The software is very fast, and the players are just average. Excellent offer! Keep at it, PokerSavvy!

This was my easiest bonus ever.
May 24th - In the afternoon I deposited $500 via Moneybookers. I played about 30 minutes ($0.10/0.15 PL/NL x 4 tables) and got almost half of the needed points.
May 25th - When I got home I played another 30 minutes and viola! Done deal! Got my $100 deposit bonus! I withdrew $630 back to my Moneybookers account.
May 26th - In the morning the money was already in my Moneybookers account and I have also earned my SavvyPoints. The whole process took me about two days (One hour of playing), I think this is how it's meant to be! :)
Thanks a lot!

I like the software, especially how you can tile/resize the windows. Took me three or four days to get those 500 raked hands ($0.25/0.50 NL). Deposit $500, and after you meet PokerSavvy's raked hand requirement, you'll also receive Party's $100 first deposit bonus! Highly recommended!

I 4-tabled No-Limit $50 max buy-in short-handed for one night and was finished. So the first-deposit-bonus was exceptionally easy to clear and the SavvyPoints were also pretty easy. The current promotion also promised me to get a Party Poker cap in the mail. All in all a nice addition to PokerSavvy.

Party Poker was the second poker room where I played, and it was great. A lot of choices between games and quite loose players. The bonus was also great. It took me two days (couple of hours a day) to play those 500 hands and as soon as I finished it the $100 bonus appeared on my account.

Wow. Easy promo again, gained 500 raked hands quite easily, got the SavvyPoints plus $100 sign-up bonus.
Pros: Many players, resizable windows, nice bonus. Many fish!
Cons: Waiting list didn't seem to work out for me.
Also the lobby was too much for my old PC, it usually started lagging. Works fine on new computers, though.

Well, I have played at many poker rooms before (and after), and I think Party poker is good. There are many bonuses every month (like reload bonuses or instant bonuses). One of the best thing in their software is that you can resize all tables. This is great. You can find a lot of fish too
