Summary (Rated 9 out of 10)

Betsafe is a relatively new addition to the OnGame network – a favorite haunt of bonus hunters. With so many OnGame sites competing for business, Betsafe is making a real effort to stand out from the competition with their lucrative "Cash is King" bonus system, which is offered on top of the sign-up bonus, and top-class support (Betsafe guarantees to respond to your email within 15 minutes or they'll credit €10 to your account.) A wide variety of cash games and tournaments are offered so whatever you're looking for you'll find a game to suit you at Betsafe!

Game Selection (Rated 8 out of 10)

For the micro and low-stakes players there will always be a game running that suits your needs. Limit Hold'em games start at $0.05/$0.10, with good traffic up to $2/$4 and beyond at peak times (with mainly European players, peak traffic is usually 8pm to 1am GMT.) If no-limit poker is your preference games start from $10 max buy-in with good traffic for multi-tablers up to $100 max buy-in. Pot-limit Omaha games are offered starting at $10 max buy-in and there are usually at least a few medium stakes games running at non-peak times. 7-card Stud is also spread, although there's not much traffic with most games running between $0.25/$0.50 (the lowest stakes offered) and $0.50/$1. For Sit'n'Go players there are the standard turbo/non-turbo single table tournaments that you'll find at most sites with decent traffic at any hour of the day or night. Betsafe also offers 'Double or Nothing Sit'n'Goes' which can be very attractive to players with a limited bankroll as they offer very low variance coupled with easy competition.

Quality of Players (Rated 8 out of 10)

As far as quality of players goes, it’s a mixed bag at Betsafe. The majority of the micro/low stakes players are poor players but in a different way from most other sites. There are a lot of very aggressive players, especially in the limit games, therefore the games play differently from what you may be used to. They are still very profitable for a patient player though, and due to the amount of sportsbooks that have poker clients on the OnGame network there is always a steady flow of new/bad players at the tables.

Software (Rated 6 out of 10)

Anyone who has played at an OnGame site before will know what they are getting. The software does it's job but is slower and clunkier than the majority of other sites. This can be a blessing in disguise though as it deters a lot of full-time grinders from playing on the network. For multi-tablers there is a mini-table option which makes the tables slightly easier to work with and as long as you're not playing very long sessions you shouldn't have too many problems once you get used to the software.

Graphics (Rated 7 out of 10)

Betsafe tables use a nice, clean color scheme which makes it easy on the eyes having less of a "cluttered" feel than other OnGame poker rooms. In general there is nothing special that stands out in regards to the graphics used by Betsafe's poker client software. The lobby is simple and easy to work with, and has filters for cash games so only the tables you are interested in are displayed.

Profitability (Rated 10 out of 10)

On top of a very generous sign-up bonus, Betsafe have their own rewards program called "Cash is King." This offers players a cash reward at the beginning of each month based on their play in the previous month. You receive a higher percentage the more you play and this is received on top of the sign-up bonus. Combined with the SavvyPoints you earn when you complete your sign-up, you'd be crazy to miss out on this offer!

Betsafe poker room review

Posted Jan 22, 2010 by JohnnyKei

I liked this poker room and enjoyed playing at Betsafe - The software is simple and fast which is great to clear this kind of bonuses. Some minus points are: no resizeable tables at cash games (resizeable at tournaments). Bet slider makes a jump from half pot to fullpot. Very poor hand history reader - Traffic at this site is quite good, you don't have to wait long for a table at micro/small stakes. - Good support. They have a 15 minute guarantee which is great. Contacted support once to confirm the tracking of my account and helped me fast a profesionally - Point collection is good - Great arrange of games, it has nl, plo, plo8, stud etc All in all a nice poker room with a fast and simple interface, really good traffic and a nice range of games Regards, Andras de Kruyf
