APPT Sydney TR Part 2, Insomnia

from Bond18. 2 December 2008, 7:07.

I wake up at 9:45am to get ready for the seminar which starts at 10:30. I wasn’t able to fall asleep until 4am like normal, so the wake up process is pretty painful. I throw on my casual suit and walk over to the casino after stopping off for a ‘Redbull’ at the corner convenience store.

Poker Tournament Trends (11/24 - 11/30)

from jurollo. 30 November 2008, 20:20.

Sort of an interesting week this week. We have 19 of our 30 tournaments that are tracked down from last week's numbers, however, most of those took place around the US Thanksgiving holiday. Next week will be a good measure of where we are at overall. This week also marked the first week of a combined AP/UB server which saw a huge increase in the 200k which offered no overlay. I am unsure of how I will go on with tracking these two but will likely keep them as they currently are tracked.

APPT Sydney TR Part 1, Swingers

from Bond18. 30 November 2008, 8:08.

I leave Cade’s house in Hawaii at around 6am, heading towards the airport. When I arrive there’s already a line at the Qantas desk and I’m worried the flight will be completely packed with my getting some terrible middle seat. I haven’t slept all night hoping I’ll be able to crash for the majority of my 10 ½ hour flight. When I get to the desk I make small talk with the guy and he asks me if a window seat will be okay
”Uh sure, unless you guys got like an aisle of three open or something like that. I haven’t done the whole sleeping thing yet tonight.”

Bond18's guide to multi accounting

from Bond18. 25 November 2008, 21:21.

Yes, it's true. I too, am a massive online MTT multiaccounter. I bet you're wondering why I'm bothering to confess to this, perhaps my conscience has finally gotten to me you think?

Things it took me a while to learn part 21, Catching bluffs from weak players

from Bond18. 25 November 2008, 17:17.

The title of this entry into the series must seem odd at first glance. Since when do weak players do all that much bluffing?

Ship it!

from jurollo. 25 November 2008, 1:01.

Won another 12k WPT sat tonight, that makes 2 in a few months along with a PCA win. For some reason I do well in winner take all formats, likely because I always play like it is WTA (to a fault sometimes). In addition to that my friend ZBThorton took down the FTP $1k tonight for $87k and through a few circumstances won me a big PS3 bundle. So double ship it. I've been feeling pretty good overall about my game lately and did a video today with 4 tables in the early stages of tournies, made a few errors here and there but overall I think it is decent. Will be out this week I'm sure.

Ideas for continuation of 'Things it took me a while to learn' series

from Bond18. 24 November 2008, 0:00.

So I did this thread quite some time ago and attempted to to accommodate a number of the requests. As of lately I'm running a bit low on ideas for how to continue the series and realized that really the best way to get an idea of how to go forward is to ask the readers what they want to see out of the series.

2+2 poster 'Bonsaltron' gave me a great idea to do an article on trends and plays in poker that come in and out or have become irrelevant which I think is a great idea that I'll get cracking on immediately, which was the inspiration to ask people what else they'd like to see covered.

Poker Trends (11/16 - 11/23)

from jurollo. 23 November 2008, 19:19.

This week marked a not so surprising drop in field sizes post-FTOPS. The 30 tracked tournaments we down a total of 6.48% this week. I fully expect an upward trend to take back over again this week as from looking at past FTOPS the biggest drop seems to come right after, as people take breaks and what not. The PFI (look at last post for explanation) is up 0.54% from last week, however, I expect this to be skewed for a few weeks due to FTOPS numbers.

Too far gone and coming back

from Bond18. 23 November 2008, 4:04.

Last night is a blur. I know I told Cade and Kari I’d be taking things easy but it didn’t quite end up that way. At the point I ended up in a karaoke room full of military guys being told to please help chug their Saki (which I did, straight from the bottle) it was clear that the evening would not end well.

Tribute to the Greatest Production of the Visual Media

from Ansky. 22 November 2008, 13:13.

I haven't made a post in a while, I know, I apologize. I'll make a post detailing my euro trip and the hands I played in the tournaments there, but for now I want to take a break from writing about poker, and talk about the greatest television show in the history of the universe.
