Poker Journal Day 12
Day 12, March 6th: Played a long session today. Started registering at 11:30am and registered until the 3:30 Tilt $50 rebuys again. Fit everything I could in. Another one of those days with a lot of deep runs and final two or three tables but nothing connected at the right moments and I fell short.
I had a number of interesting hands today. Unfortunately, half of them were destroyed by the raging hail and thunder storm that tore through Melbourne today. It knocked the power out in the middle of my session and deleted the file I had open with the hands. Here are the ones I do have:
1. Tilt $109 6 max. I don’t remember any particular aggressive vibe with this villain, I think I may have been new to the table which wouldn’t surprise me if it’s still got all six players on the table. Pretty obvious thought process in that an ass load of draws missed and we even counterfeited one hand.
Thoughts?

2. Tilt $150. Couple questions on this hand:
A. There wasn’t much history between myself and MP2. Still, my plan was to 3 bet/call. That too ambitious vs the min raise |at these stacks?
B. SB didn’t seem crazy before this, and not loose/awful enough to suddenly flat here with some ridiculous holding. I assume people are comfortable with planning to shut down unless I hit flop solidly?

3. Tilt $50 single rebuy add on. No particular history with villain at this point that would make me think he’d get real out of line here or has reason to think I’m gonna hero call him. Considering his bet sizing everyone cool calling down?

Feedback I got from most on the QQ hand I posted in the last entry was that I should just 3 bet and get in preflop against a lot of guys in a $50. The vast majority also wanted to bet the turn, which seems absolutely correct looking at the hand history. Thanks to everyone at HSMTT for their input on my hands, it’s become clear how rusty I’ve got and all of this is helping quiet a lot.
