Cold Calling 3-Bets Out of Position

This isn’t something I do often, just because you’re basically announcing strength without charging your opponents anything, plus by spotting them position you put them in control of the betting as well. Against good players I almost always 4-bet or fold, usually fold in this spot. Against a monkey with no hand-reading, skills, though, I make exceptions:

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold’em, $10.00 BB (6 handed) – Full-Tilt Hand Converter from PokerSavvyPlus.com

Button ($1097)
Hero (SB) ($1347)
BB ($1292)
UTG ($530)
MP ($2964.75)
CO ($1015)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 10, 10
UTG bets $30, MP raises to $90, 2 folds, Hero calls $85, 1 fold, UTG calls $60

Flop: ($280) 9, 10, 2 (3 players)
Hero checks, UTG checks, MP bets $150, Hero calls $150, 1 fold

Turn: ($580) 2 (2 players)
Hero checks, MP bets $222, Hero calls $222

River: ($1024) 4 (2 players)
Hero checks, MP bets $885, Hero calls $885 (All-In)

Total pot: $2794 | Rake: $3

Results:
Hero had 10, 10 (full house, tens over twos).
MP had Q, Q (two pair, Queens and twos).
Outcome: Hero won $2791
