Well after hitting my stop loss of 3 buyins I had nothing better to do so why not start a blog?? Warning grammar errors are likely to be frequent and annoying. I am hoping that by creating this blog it well help me document my progress through the micro stakes, and serve as motivation to reach my goals.
Currently I am working for time at Walmart for the amazing pay of $7.50 an hour! Yeah I know slave much... Where in the hell is Maximus to lead a revolt when you need him? Seriously I don't understand the general population at all. There are more slaves nowadays then ever before. The only difference is slaves now days come in all shapes and forms. There are the bottom tier slave who work constantly for minor pay, and the higher tier slaves who get slightly more respect, but still follow someone elses orders.
I mean society in general creates robots who seem brainwashed. Day after day, people wake up at the same time and go through the same routine for what reason? The other day trying to get lunch I almost got into three car accidents! Why because everyone was in a rush, because they HAD to get their lunch in time to get back to work. I am currently in the same boat however unlike them my eyes are open, and so is my mind. After going inside and getting my lunch I looked around at all the customers.. Come to think about it I probably seemed like a freak.. But I just sat their paying attention and seeing what type of people come and go. You had your retired people who seemed to being going out to eat just to have something to do, middle aged people who where in a rush to get their food and head back to work, and younger people who to where in a rush to get back to work. The younger people who are already in a rush during lunch are going to be in a rush like that until they become the older retired class. Talk about a sick grind! Same old same for 40+ years and they wonder why heart disease is to prominent nowadays. I don't know about you.. But I would rather be a beach bum than spend 40 years grinding some job day in and day out.
The whole scenario reminds me of a John Wooden quote " If you don't have time to do it right the first time, When will you have time to do it over again"? Some people look at that in relation to minor projects or tasks. But if you are truly going to get the most out of that quote I believe you need to look at it in relation to your entire life. So thats what I am doing. Currently I am in my early 20's and I honestly don't plan on working for someone my ENTIRE life. I am grinding a Walmart Job for the summer, and grinding micro cash games. With the hopes of some day using poker my main source of income. If not I will be a beach bum before I grind some lousy job for 40+ hours a week, and for likely half my life expectancy.
My current win-rate at 10nl 6m is 4.89 BB/100 over a 24k sample size. I am going to be updating this blog hopefully daily or at least frequently. In the mean time I will be studying like a zombie in hopes of not becoming a slave! I have a slough of books that I need to study. So peace..
