Join Foucault’s PokerStars Home Game!
I’m pleased to announce that I’m starting a Thinking Poker League on the new PokerStars Home Game feature. We’ll have a tournament every Sunday at 16:30 ET, coinciding with the start of the Sunday Million. Whomever is at the top of the leaderboard after 10 tournaments (unless it’s I, in which case we’ll go to the second place finisher) will receive a three-month subscription to Poker Savvy Plus and a free, hand-by-hand “leakfinder” analysis of a NLHE tournament or cash game session of his/her choosing recorded by me and posted on Poker Savvy Plus.
I’ll also be hosting a Thinking Poker cash game through this league on weeknights, with the first game taking place at 20:00 ET on Tuesday March 1. The format for that is also open to discussion but for the first game will be full-ring NLHE with $.10/$.25 blinds and a 100-250BB buyin. The cash games won’t have any affect on the league standings but should be a lot of fun!
To sign up for the League, please find the Thinking Poker League in the PokerStars Home Game tab and request to join.

Welcome 3 New Top Pros to PokerSavvy+!
PokerSavvy is pleased to announce the addition of not 1, not 2, but 3! Highly rated Poker Coaches to the PokerSavvy+ Roster!
New Coach: Marcos 'PezRez' Perez. 6-Max and Full Ring Sit N' Go Specialist
Top Accomplishments:
- Currently ranked #1 in 6-Max SNGs in 2010 for Total Profit at $36-$100 level
- #1 Ranked 2009 6-Max SNG player for Total Profit at $36-$100 level
Marcos has never deposited money into a poker site. He won a few dollars on a friend's account in 2005, and from these meagre beginnings he worked his bankroll up to four figures in a matter of months playing low-stakes Limit Hold'em. After the UIGEA he began to play Sit'n'Goes and found them to be more profitable. In 2008 he obtained a prize-winning 1st Class degree in Biological Sciences from Merton College, Oxford University, and has since been playing professionally. He originally planned on playing for a year to fund a PhD but after a very successful first year has put the PhD on hold. (Statistics as of 10/02/2010)

New Coach: Alasdair "md261" Mcclenahan. 6-Max and Full Ring Sit N' Go Specialist
Top Accomplishments:
- Currently ranked #5 in 2010 in 6-Max SNG Total Profit (any stake)
- Ranked #11 in 2009 for $36-$100 ABI in Total Profits for 6-Max SNGs
Al received $20 in an UltimateBet account for his 18th birthday, and has never had to deposit again. He played to pay for his car, holidays and to fund university, where he studied Classics (Latin and Ancient Greek studies) at Cambridge University, specialising in literature and history. Originally intending to become an accountant, he was lured by the freedom, flexibility and money offered by poker, and now splits his time between poker, and building a property investment portfolio. (Statistics as of 10/02/2010)
New Coach: Joe "z06fanatic" Rohinsky. Mid-High Stakes MTT and STT Specialist
Top accomplishments:
- Over $370,000 in total profits from 2009 - current with nearly $1 Million in tournament cashes
- High Ranking on Pocket5s: http://www.pocketfives.com/profiles/z06fanatic/
About Joe:
I' have been playing poker for about 6 years now, professionally for 3. I'm currently a full time MTT player that transitioned from SNGs and currently play mid-high stakes MTTs. Since my transition to full time MTTs last June, I've amassed roughly $370,000 in profits.
My current stakes are 20 rebuys-100 rebuys, 50 Fo's - 320 Fo's and sometimes I'll go higher depending on how soft a tournament may be. I'm very stringent with game selection which might be one of the reasons I'm so successful at the stakes that I play. Also outside of the standard video review/ answer questions, I think I can offer a lot of other thoughts and insights into poker from the financial perspective. Taxes, bankroll management, game selection, tilt, balancing life and poker, viewing poker as more than just a card game, etc are all ideas that aren't talked about enough that professionals need to understand.

We're very excited to be bringing you 3 very strong additions to the PokerSavvy Roster!
Look for the first videos from all 3 producers in upcoming weeks.

Foucault on ESPN WSOP Broadcast! Check it out
Crosspost from Foucault's Blog:
As I predicted, my huge post-flop coin flip against David Baker made Tuesday’s ESPN broadcast.
I’m pretty happy with how I came off, though I wish I hadn’t been calling for cards. I don’t ordinarily do that, but when the cameras are on, I always feel like I need to say something. They refer to Baker and me as “two savvy pros”- depending on how closely they read the bio that I sent them, that may or may not be an intentional pun.
Oh and I like how they refer to Baker’s Queens as “the best hand” while he’s got a 36% next to his name, and I’ve got 49% (before Sallas folds, that is).
Foucault takes 3rd in the $500r WCOOP for 118k!
What can we say, the man is on a MTT Tear!
Fresh off his 87th finish in the WSOP Main Event - Andrew 'Foucault' Brokos concluded his WCOOP this year with a huge final table performance!
Andrew finished 3rd in the $500 WCOOP rebuy, taking down just shy of $118,000!
Already with a $450,000 win to his name this year, Andrew MTT winnings alone are approaching $700,000
Big congrats to Andrew - and well deserved!
