3months still no deep run good
Just looked over at my blog for the 1st time in a long time and see the last entry was about running bad deep and well thats what today has been.
Ive played for about 14 hours and iam completly fucked with it, although ive not played great at times today ive made 3 deep runs.

as well as a few other cashes which have been frustrating loosing big stack to donks who cant raise fold shit.
The frustrating thing is that although ive made a decent amount of deep runs it counts for nothing as there are no decent cashes which sucks massivly and leaves me virtually broke.
Anyway time up guess i should sleep before i end up making a dumb mistake and playing and staying up for 30+ hours.
Maybe i should and i would eventually run good.

So fed up of this getting deep and being completly unable to win a flip or with a dominating hand.
The other day finished 27th in a 4k+ field lost AQvs 99 against the table retard playing every hand.
Today ive just busted 44th in a $1r of 1800 loosing a really dumb hand where i should have folded but got myself in a bad spot.2 limpers so i complete in SB with 74o, not something i usually do but shit happens i was getting a big price and should ahve not caused a problem on this table, flop 722, i check call a min bet and turn a 4 and lead for half pot and get shoved on by SB , i kinda knew he had hte 2 and looking back there was room to fold but i didnt and busted a big stack.
Just now busted out of a $2.20 6 max turbo in 38th of just under 4k players was card dead for a long time and stack dwindled and eventaully lost A9<J9 which obv made trips like its that easy.
I also played 15 18 mans on the side and although i build up some stack i was completly unable to get any where with them making 2 cashes out of 15,its insane how i seem to run in these nowadays considering i used to crush them for 18% a year ago at the $6's.
I guess iam just going to have to try to stick to 45 mans for awhile to try to build something up along with the odd turbo mtt.

Today has been kinda fun again, or at least since i wrote a blog last night, i played a few games last night and felt pretty good about it without any results, but i was actually quite happy rather than stressing and frustrating.
Today i started out in usual fashion firstly having my EP shove called by Q5s from someone in MP for like 12bb...wtf!!!!!!!!! and then my KK vs 44 BB leading calling a raise and backdooring into a straight WP sir in a mulitway pot on the flop of 629.
A bit later on i started to play some 45 mans constantly loading up and keeping at least 16 games at a time for 2 hours, started off running shit but i soon got some equity back i managed to flop sets all in against a few people with over pairs, dont worry i had people do the same, but i managed a really good return sofar with 12 cashes out of the 33 games i managed to get in including 4 wins to make a profit of $153 which was a massive confidence booster from the last few days.
I hope to play some more this evening and hopefully continue to profit . Just played 3 mtts cashed in 1 and didnt get much going in the other 2 although maybe i should have done better in 1 when i actually got stack but didnt manage to win a hand from then my AQo 4 flushing AIpre against AA and KQo.
Pretty happy today so thought i should make sure i write about it as i normally would write about the bad.
Feel like Crying or screaming
I dont think i can handle much more of this. last time i wrote a post i was complaining about running bad, now there was a few days where i had a decent run, i got 3rd in a $5 6max and a few other results and a few satallite wins to actually turn April around and end up with some profit and then it all started again, ive bubbled about $1200 worth of sat wins and i do mean bubble, and thats alot for a micro stakes player.
over the last few days ive played a mix of 180's 45's and mtt's.
I was running bad in 180's so played the 45' and had a profitable session you dont know how cool a bit of profit feels sometimes, 3 wins from 20 games was good, then even a profitable 180 man session with 3 final tables and a few min cashes, i could not get the win but was really happy with the way things went, maybe i could say i ran a little good.Mtts have just been a pile of *&^%, i just dont know how else to explain it, i can build up stacks i can cash but man anything further than that and your having a laugh, yesterday i managed to get aces in on a Q high flop for 4x average stacks against J's, well we all know what the river was and then a bit later in the same game once again wiith about average maybe a bitmore i get KK in 4 way against JJ some junk shorty and a cold call with AK against the same guy, and obv the river hits him.
Today i seem to have done nothing but build stacks and some how lose every big pot mid game, i was big in a $3 6 max and didnt realise i was so deep stacked when i got shoved on by 99 for 45bb's and snapped it with AK, yes it was an error and i bust there a few minutes later i call a 3 bet shove with 99 against AK and obv AK gets there, all ive seen today is my AK lose and everyone elses get there.
3r managed to get QQ in on turn for 1.5 average stacks on 778T board vs99 and he hit hit draw.
Then my pc decides it going to crash and fuck me about just as i turna set against someone else thats about the way things are going and iam so tilted and playing bad for sure now, hopefully i can turn it around and i certainly feel alot calmer and better after writting this and taking a little break.
Running sooooooooooooo baddddddddddd
The last few weeks have continuesd to be ever more frustrating, i just cant catch a break at an point in any point in any game.Ive had some decent stacks in mtts and then when you get involved in that big pot, with the goods i might add i dont stand a chance dominated aces make straight underpairs make flushs if they dont make quads.
I think ive just had the worst run in sngs for a long time losing about 18 buyins in a 22 games, just after having a nice confidence booster of a decent winning session but that then got wiped out and a fair bit more.
I guess as far as sngs go iam going to have go go one of 2 routes, 1)only play $1.75 18 mans in high volume until i have enough to move up to $3.4's or 2) start to play just standard speed 10 mins games, i would assume i have a higher expectation in those, or at least i used to and iam really not up to date with the game speed and ranges plus 10 min blinds fuck thats gotta be the most boring think possible .
There is also an option now stars have changed there buyin levels and cash game tables that i could just play a ton of hands at the shallow 20-50bb's tables, after all generally being a sng and mtt player i have some idea what iam doing with shallower stacks rather that larger ones.I can play 100bb's infact iam more than happy to play the deeper tables but i do make far to many mistakes when i increase my tables a bit more,so therfore it would be a better idea while trying to get back of the ground to play a decent number off tables at the shallower stack tables.

Cant believe how bad things went today, i swear ive not won a 50/50 or better when ive had a decent stack at any point today, after playing 53 games ive given up, mainly 45's and 180's. I didnt get anything going in 45's but 180's i must have had 7-8 decent stacks going into about 35 players and managed to get 2 min cashes, KK might as well be mucked pre today, just one of those days and i wont notice how sick good i run when hands hold and iam claiming iam great because i made some decent money(for me).
Really low on stars now, cashed down to $100 Monday, won money for a few days and then lost pretty bad last 2 days so back to $1.75 18 mans i guess for a few days and maybe some 45's to mix it up, i really need to learn to really beat 45's as well as mixing in some mtts and get a few $$ back up and then see if i can actually get some 180 decent runs together, oh i didnt come 2nd in one yesterday so that was semi cool, should ahve won but i suck.
Anyway had enough feel i should be super tilted but actually generally quite happy with my play as ive not donked off people have made really bad errors against me all day and i guess thats what makes money for me in the long run. tomorrows another day and all that.

Poker is so Frustrating
At the begining of this year i guess i started to dedicate more of my time to playing mtts, it was not a target but i guess sothing that just took over as i was making deeper runs more often.
Now a few problems come with this, i cant grind other games as well when trying to play mtts and i certainly cant get anywhere near enough volume in.Ive tried to play 180's at the same time but i really stuggle with it, although looking at recent results it might just be that iam on a pretty deep down swing in all sit n go's stt's 18,45 and $2 180's.Luckily ive rana decent run of late in $3r 180's with 2 3rd's and a win in the last 5.
Ive also been able to keep my head above water in the turbo mtt's for the year but i find it really frustrating not getting enough top end finishes but looking at my results i really should not be disappointed as ive actually crushed but feel that i run pretty sick bad deep which is the real frustrating part of life.
example i was deep in the $1r and the $7.5 turbos. In the $1r i lost AQs to K6o all in pre for top 3 in chips with 21 left. Then in the $7.5 turbo i lost A5 to K9 BvB all in pre again this would have given me about double average at the final table then on the final table i lost AQs to J9o and ATo to bust out in 8th when i was leading with 13 to go. So i end up with a few hundred when up top in both was $1200 and $2500 respectfully.
I think my real frustrations boil down to actually never being able to close more than a 180 as it probably isnt just down to $'s as iam up $7500 this year in turbo mtts on an average buyin of $4 and this is just for scheduled.November was my last mtt win winning a $2.20 turbo 6 max mtt for $1300 with 4600 players.

as well as many late finishes, looking at OPR i have finished 'late' in 12% of my games this year many times missing out on what i would perseve as a big cash
I just wanna win and win and win, soon i will get a decent run of big cashes and be in a position to play higher and get coaching to improve and move up some more.
Anyway iam rambling on to much and making little sense even to myself now.
A bit about me
It will only be a little bit about me as i try to keep myself to myself.
Iam 29 and live in the UK with my girlfriend our son and to her 2 children from a preious relationship.
Ive been playing poker for probably 4 years now and honestly never had a clue what i was doing for 1-2 years of this time, but i enjoyed it, insome ways a bit( i mean only a little bit) spoils some of it for you.I was a gambler and honestly had a gambling problem, i would gamble on anything roulette fruit machines horses sports and was a bit loser in them. I finally gave all other forms of gambling up when i finally hit a lose threashold that i was disgusted with myself for losing that amount of money.
Since then which has probably been 3 years ive only gambled with poker.
In the early days i started of after watching poker night live on sky tv and the prima network with sit n go's generally around the $5 games and some $10's.Honestly i dont know how i did back then i would imagine i was a breakeven player or maybe marginal winner or loser.I guess at some point i found cash games and to this day ive never been very good , i guess ive learnt far to many bad habits and have struggled to let go of them from the early days .
Later on i found full tilt poker and this great deposit donus so leaded up $600 on there and hopped straight into $100NL, god looking back i was so bad its unreal i guess i understood hand strenght and that was about it. A friend i knew online mentioned about this video site he was using and how it was helping him and he was killing the small stakes games, i looked but didnt really understand the concept of learning how to play, yes i was very nieve at the time.
I started playing sng's and slowly started adding tables, i was pretty good at the standard speed games, although that was back in the day i could be the $10 games for 20% but was reluctant to move up.Eventaully i did and also started playing some mtts i would cash in a few but nothing amazing.I finally signed up for a training site after watching some of the nosebleed games and hearing that this one guy made videos and was blown away by some of the stuff.Unsuprisingly (looking back) things didnt go so well with my new knowlegde i would try to do things in bad spots and missuse/understand the information i was given raising pp's and 3 betting was cool and all but not when you didnt fully grasp the whole lesson.In cash games i had turned from a big winner at small/micro stakes to a loser due to this(my fault not theres).
I guess at some point i turned back to sngs and mtts, i was never really big into mtts as they took so long and i really didnt have much sucess because i didnt know how to play them, how i wish i could go back and play those games now.I found some guy who videos really hit home with me i remember hitting week after week final tables in a $10FO on FTP and some time later making 3 top 18 finishes on the same day, how cool yet frustrating.I would play late at night here enjoying the $3r on FTP and the $5r 6max each one i believe i have won twice going back a while as well as final tabling an early double and midnight madness on FTP.
I later on found poker stars and luckboxed myleft to 2 final tables of $12 180 mans when they came out winning 1 which kept me afloat for awhile but i was constantly cashing out and what i didnt cash out would soon be lost in cash and HU games on tilt, it wasnt till the last year when i really started taking things a lot more serious and after some personal problems started to build things up and try to find something which i could concentrate on.
Now all my play is on stars where i play turbo multitable sngs and mtts but still throw in some cash games, which i should probably stay away from untill i have a larger bankroll and time to actually apply myself to really learning and understanding better.

At the moment m biggest frustrations are 1) time to grind
2) a shitty computer (ones died on me so using a really old tin can to keep going
3) running like crap deep in mtts
But i think ive probably gone on enough for now so will add in my frustration at a later date.
