Back to MA from Vegas (for a bit)
So I flew back to MA for a small break from Vegas and come home for a bit. I was hesitant to come back at first but I had a lot of fun overall at home and got to see a lot of friends. When I get back to Vegas tomorrow night I am going to relax the first two days back and will be playing Day 1a of the Main Event (7/3) and then if I am out of that by the 13th I will be playing the Venetian Deepstack ME as well which is $5k. I will likely play another 1-2k event as well. We're also having a banger at the house on the 4th, which I am excited about. Made a couple life decisions while I was home as well, barring a top 3 finish in the ME, I will be getting my Real Estate Broker license upon my return and will be buying a condo or house for myself as well as another investment property within 5-6 months of being back. I wont be quitting poker at all but with a license I could work 10-15 hours a week trying to sell houses or rent apartments and get some more side income. Anyhoo, excited to get back to the Vegas house and have some more fun. The weird thing about Vegas, even spending $400-$500 a night to get tables at clubs, everyone in my house is up money. Ranging from like +70k on the high end to up $30k on the low end, with myself around $40k positive so far, however, this could change quickly. As for the clubs there, I highly suggest anyone trying to go out there try Pure @ Caesar's. Its a lot of fun, followed closely by Tao @ The Venetian. Both are really good spots if you get a table. Thats all for now, more after Day 1 of the main, likely a video blog.

Vegas Recap I: May 28th – June 16th
Between the video blogs and the other blogs I have written since getting to Vegas a lot of it has been real brief poker results without much content so I decided to do a longer recap now. First off, the house we have is absolutely amazing and I really feel at home. I couldn't ever live right on the strip so this is the ultimate place for me if I am going to be in Vegas for any period of time. As I mentioned in the video blog I have played 5 events so far and cashed for about 15k total on about 10k of buyins, so its been pretty "meh". Outside of poker I've been having a blast here with my roommates though. For those who don't know I live with 4 other online pros including Andy "Badgerpro" Schultz, Michael "mman_status" Meredith, Chris "SLOPPYKLOD / MrDoggy" Klodnicki and Tony "D1rtyR1v3r" whose last name I don't even know, haha.
As a house we didn't start off the series very well with Chris starting 0/7, I started 1/5, Mikey started 0/5 with Badger and D1rty starting 0/1 each. We've in general been killing it online here and as a house I think we've won about $100k since we got here but our biggest score came last night when Chris took down 2nd in the $1500 Razz for about $100k, eventually losing to Barry. Now that we've popped our FT cherry this year I am really hoping we can get another deep run out of someone. Big congrats to him though for an awesome run.
Outside of poker as a whole we've been having a great time going out in Vegas. We've hit up Tao a couple times and met some really cool people along the way. If anyone here ever gets a chance to get a table on the Tao roofdeck I suggest doing so, it was a great time. Other then that we've hit up Pure once (last night) which was ridiculously fun as well and Moon 2 nights ago which was much fun. Tryst though, takes the cake for least fun hot spot in Vegas. Overall we've had some absolutely ridiculous things have already happened and I can pretty much guarantee this has been one of the funnest 4 day period of my life. A lot of the things that have transpired here probably aren't even Kosher for this blog, so I'll let you guys use your imagination.
I am playing some $1500s this week at the WSOP and am then shipping back to Boston for a few days before coming back for the WSOP ME and might stay out here an extra week for my 25th bday on July 24th. Thats all for now, talk to you all soon. Also will do some videos back in Boston to get some new content.

Weee grinding out of an online downswing
Hey guys. So since I've been in Vegas I have started winning again online and I'm grinding out of my downswing at a quick pace. Last week I took a 2nd in a $150 for 12k and today won the $215 HU on Stars for about 24k. Also have had a FT at the UB 200k for 4.5k so things have been going good. I am playing the $1500 shootout tomorrow at the WSOP and will update you guys on that after its over.
On to Day 2 of the $1k Rebuy
Got 36.4k at days end. Such a long day and I was at 60k about 20 mins before days end and made a hero call with 77 on a A964A board and lost to A6, yay! Below average to start tomorrow but still workable as we start at 800/1600/200. 100 or so are left, 72 pay and I was in for $6k total. Go go go run good tomorrow!
Vegas / WSOP Event #2
Hey guys,
I am out in Vegas for the WSOP now and plan on playing a decent amount of events while I am living here. First off, the house is absolutely amazing, definitely worth the money to have somewhere that I feel comfortable in and thats away from the craziness of the strip. Being in Vegas for this long (50 days) is suicide so being able to relax away from everything is such a huge advantage for me as I, in general, hate Vegas.
On to the actual WSOP. For much of it I will be doing video blogs, however, Event #2 wasn't much worth it as I only lasted 1.5 hours. The structure is ridiculously fast and in the 2nd level I got QQ in against KK for about 31BBs effective. Oh well, I just shrugged it off and laughed and walked away. I might play the $1500 PLHE tomorrow or just wait for the $1k rebuy on Tuesday and the $2k FO on Wednesday. Really hoping to get my 1st cash of the '08 series asap and get the monkey off the back, a bracelet wouldn't be bad either. I have been playing some online since I've been here too and have had a couple close calls, biggest being tonight in the UB $200k when my Q9 lost to 66 on a 66QQ board. I will run good when it counts soon, I think I played "ok" in the event and am starting to get my stride back but my confidence is still pretty shot. Could really use a win somewhere to click that confidence switch back on sooner rather then later. But ok, thats all for now, will update you guys on the $1500 PLHE tomorrow if I play it.
