Unfortunately, due to the vague and uncertain legal and regulatory environment in the United States, PokerSavvy does not allow United States residents to sign up for SavvyPoints or rakeback offers at real money poker rooms. Step 3: Choosing Your Game

After choosing your first room and depositing - it's time to choose a game type!

Our recommendation at this level is that you play Sit N' Go Tournaments in order to clear your first bonus requirement.

What is a Sit N Go Tournament?

A "Sit N'Go" (SNG) Tournament is traditionally a 9 player tournament that begins as soon as 9 players register for the tournament. Players play until they are eliminated, and the top 3 finishers are awarded a share of the prize pool. Tournaments typically last between 30 minutes to 1 hour, and offer some of the best returns on your money.

Why Sit N' Go Tournaments?

Quite simply, Sit N' Go tournaments offer the best return on your investment, and are the easiest poker games to play through to clear a bonus because they provide the lowest risk. If you go all in and lose in a Sit N' Go - the most you can lose is what you bought in for. For players playing on a short bankroll, this makes life much easier, and makes going broke much harder.

In addition to being easy to play - Sit N' Go tournaments are often full of beginning players just learning how to play poker. It's both a great way to learn yourself, and the competition is often the softest of any game online. With a little practice, you should find yourself consistently making it into the top 3, and at least breaking even on your investment.

We recommend playing very tight in the early rounds of Sit N' Go tournaments and letting the weak players knock each other out. Once the tournament gets down to 4-5 players, we recommend being a bit more aggressive, and stealing away pots since players will be afraid to bust before cashing. Once you reach the top 3 - your goal should be to play for 1st place and cash in on the big pay day!

What If I Don't Like Sit N' Go Tournaments?

If you dislike Sit N' Go tournaments, you can play "Ring" game poker online - where you play with your actual cash instead of buying into a tournament and receiving chips.

However, if you are new to poker, we recommend staying away from this option to begin with. Playing "Ring" poker requires a larger bankroll, as the money you can win or lose on any given hand tends to be more than we can afford.

We'll visit ring game poker later when we have a larger bankroll.
