Summary (Rated 8 out of 10)
Cake Poker is a growing poker site with a bunch of great promotions and fishy players. The amount of player traffic here is above average, in other words you won't have any problems finding a game. There are many deposit options and if your preferred method of cashing out is not available you might still be able to use your favorite option after contacting Cake Poker’s customer support to receive help. Speaking of the cashier, you must allow 48 hours from your last deposit before requesting to withdraw any funds.

Game Selection (Rated 7 out of 10)
Cake Poker offers the games everyone is used to seeing such as Hold’em (with table stakes starting as low as $0.02/0.04), Stud, Omaha and your typical Hi/Lo variations of those games. You will always find Hold’em and Omaha games running, but it’s really rare to find a game of Stud being played.
Sit'n'Go players will like this site because they can find a wide range of tournaments with buy-ins all the way up to $5,000! There are all sorts of different types of Sit,n,Goes... Double-Up, Shootout, Bounty, Step Tournaments and the most interesting of them all, Kamikaze Tournaments. In these, each player is forced to go all-in every hand, so you don't have to do anything but pay your buy-in!
Much like other sites, Cake Poker also has weekly $100,000 and monthly $250,000 guaranteed tournaments and satellites to live events such as the English Poker Open. When you play at real money tables you’ll also earn Gold Chips and Gold Cards, which are also redeemable for tournament buy-ins.

Quality of Players (Rated 6 out of 10)
As Cake Poker accepts players from all over the world, it can be said that the competition is below average. There are always some loose or reckless players around to generate action at Cake Poker. You will find lots of players at all hours of the day, both in either Hold’em and Omaha. There are a ton of fish doing a lot of gambling, as you will see lots of players going all-in holding nothng but a draw. Thanks to these players it's not very hard to make profit at Cake Poker, but of course sometimes their gamble will pay off and you’ll take a bad beat. Be patient!

Software (Rated 9 out of 10)
The lobby is very easy to read. The main menu displays available tables along with details such as players-per-flop percentage, average pot size and hands per hour. The column to the right of the menu displays the players currently at the table and on the waiting list for the table you have selected. When you open a table, you can easily re-size it or choose between minimum, default and maximum size. You can also tile or cascade all open tables. If you want to change where you appear to sit without changing your seat, just click on the seat you want to sit in and click 'Sit Here'. When the hand is finished, the table rotates to the position you selected. As for other options, one cool feature is the ability to create custom tables. You can setup a custom table for No-Limit, Pot-Limit and Fixed-Limit games.

Graphics (Rated 8 out of 10)
Cake Poker uses avatars, and you can choose the one most suitable for you in the options menu. Here you can also adjust the graphics quality settings and switch between one of two available backgrounds, either ’classic’ or ’simple’. The table graphics look nice and make the action easy to follow, the dealer button is one of the biggest you’ll see! One funny quirk is that the player avatars will lean back in their chairs if you sit out of the hand. Of course, there is certainly a 4-color-deck as well.

Profitability (Rated 9 out of 10)
There are some fine promotions at Cake Poker. The deposit bonus is nice, especially because you don't have to contribute to the pot to earn points. There is also a 33% rakeback option, which is a great bankroll boost! On the top of this you can collect Gold Chips and Gold Cards while you play real-money cash games and tournaments. These can be redeemed for tournament buy-ins or cash prizes. Overall, you’ll have some nice opportunities to increase the size of your bankroll while playing at Cake Poker!

i cleared the bonus mostly on NL50 which took me about 6-7K hands or so. quite average. the opponents vary from bad to tag. quite some fish around there. probably because there is no pokertracker support.
the cake support itself is nice and friendly and responds fast.
definitely a good site to clear the bonus!

Wow!
Ive really enjoyed playing at Cake.
Software is really nice and it seems youre playing in a bowl of fishes.
Although the bonus is very easy to clear if youre playing a few tables!

I liked this poker room the gold card and gold chip idea is something different from the usual "get this many points earn free stuff etc" The site brings in about 5000 players at peak. The bonus is fairly easy to clear playing 2/4 limit. Plenty of tourneys and not that difficult to find a ring game. Potential

CakePoker was nice looking site and I did like the user interface. Amount of players was quite low and the point accumulation pretty slow.

Cake is a small poker site, which admits American players. The traffic is reasonable and most of the games are no limit or fixed limit holdem.
The software tends to disconnect and the graphics look dated. Who ever drew the Avatars is obsessed with well-endowed women. The lobby is difficult to navigate.
There is a complicated loyalty scheme offering entry into freerolls. Most of the tournaments start late in Europe and the site runs on Eastern Time. The sign-up bonus is hard to clear.
The games are mainly loose passive with a lot of calling and showing down.
Overall, I thought it was a fairly mediocre site with poor software. Its main attraction is admitting American players.
