1) General Rakeback Questions
2) Rakeback Detailed Questions
3) ‘My Rakeback’ Specific Questions
4) Poker Room Specific Questions
5) SavvyPoints & Rakeback Bonuses
6) PokerSavvy Promotions

I. General Rakeback Questions:

1) What is Rakeback?

Please visit this page: http://www.pokersavvy.com/rakeback/what-is-rakeback

2) How Does Rakeback Work?

Please visit this page: http://www.pokersavvy.com/rakeback/what-is-rakeback

3) How Do I Sign-Up For Rakeback?

Choose any poker room at which you would like rakeback, but don’t already have an account, and follow the on-screen instructions!

4) How Do I Get Paid My Rakeback?

Each Poker Room has a slightly different system for paying players, but all payments are made directly to your player account at the online poker room. Payments vary between weekly to monthly, depending on the room.

Please refer to the poker-room specific details pages for information on your room.

5) How Much Can I Earn In Rakeback?

That depends on how much you play!

Most players pay hundreds, if not thousands of dollars in rake each year – and get nothing in return. Sign-up for rakeback and take a big portion of that money back!

II. Rakeback Detailed Questions:

1) How is Rake Calculated at my Poker Room?

Please refer to the poker-room specific rakeback pages to see how your room calculates rake?

2) What is the difference between “Dealt” and “Contributed” Rake?

Dealt Rake – You receive rakeback on all pots for which a rake was taken and you were dealt cards, even if you contributed no money yourself. The rake is divided evenly among all players.

Contributed Rake – You receive rakeback in proportion to your contribution to the pot’s rake. If you did not contribute any money to the pot, you will not receive rakeback for that pot. The more money you contributed to the individual pot, the more rakeback you receive.

3) Which is a Better Rake Method? – “Dealt” or “Contributed?”

This is often debated by players – but the general consensus is that all players benefit equally from “Dealt” Rake, but tighter players tend to not benefit as well from “Contributed” rake methods, as they play fewer pots and contribute less money to the pot.

However, “Contributed” rake deals tend to have higher rakeback percentages – so the benefit to the player is somewhat balanced.

“Dealt” methods tend to be more easily to calculate over a long period of time, as your average rakeback / hands played should be fairly continuous.

4) Why is my Rakeback Negative?

Poker Rooms often deduct bonuses and fees accrued by the player against your rakeback. If your bonuses and fees outweigh your rake generated, your rakeback will display as negative.

You NEVER need to pay PokerSavvy if your rakeback is negative, however you need to continue to generate rake and return the number to positive to earn future rakeback.

5) What Causes A Negative Rakeback?

Each Poker-Room has a variety of deductions / fees they charge against a player’s rakeback.

Please refer to the poker-room specific section for individual deductions for your poker room.

6) If My Rakeback Is Negative – What Can I Do?

Easy! Play some Poker!

Every hand you play and earn rakeback on will counterbalance your negative rakeback, and get you back to earning in no time!

We do advise avoiding common deductions that are made against your rakeback – these include:

-Depositing / Withdrawing money un-necessarily (Processing Fees)
-Spending Frequent Player Points (Poker Room Specific)

7) Will My Deposit Bonus / Reload Bonus be Deducted?

This is Poker-Room Specific. Please refer to the poker room details page for your room to see whether bonuses and fees are deducted.

III. ‘My Rakeback’ Specific Questions

1) My Rakeback Stats for Saturday / Sunday Don’t Show Up – Why Is This?

We at PokerSavvy Rakeback update your rakeback statistics 5 times a week, Monday through Friday.

We do not run updates on the weekends.

However – our updates on Monday reflect all your poker play from the previous weekend, so your total for the following Monday will show all your rakeback action earned over the weekend.

Not to worry! We’re keeping track of it all!

2) How Do I Know This Data Is Accurate?

We pull our data directly from your Poker-Rooms database.

Your ‘My Rakeback’ page functions as a display page – letting you see your information as taken directly from your poker room.

All of the data you see is taken directly from your room – we do not track your data, we leave this to the poker-room experts!

3) My Rakeback Totals are in Euros, but my Total Earned in is Dollars – What’s This?

While many of our European rooms calculate and pay your rakeback in Euros, we convert all the values to dollars for display purposes.

Fluctuating currency exchange rates may cause this total to be off by several dollars at any given time. Not to worry – your payments will be made in the currency with which you earned rakeback, so conversion rates will not hurt you.

4) I Play on a European Site – Will I be Paid In Dollars?

You will be paid in whatever currency you use at your poker-room.

5) I’ve Played a Lot of Poker – But My Stats Haven’t Changed, Why?

Please be advised that while our data is taken directly from your poker room, it may be up to 24-48 hours behind real time.

Also, depending on where in the world you are located – one “day” where you are, may not be the same “day” where the poker room is located. So – your rake generated for a given day may not show up until the next day in our system.

Not to worry though – our poker rooms track all your play and we make sure you receive rakeback for the entire rake you pay!

6) My Rakeback Sign-Up Has Been “Pending” for Several Days – What’s Going On?

Please contact rakeback@pokersavvy.com and we’ll look into this for you.

If this is a PokerHeaven sign-up, please see the PokerHeaven FAQ Section.
