Zusammenfassung (Rated 7 out of 10)

PokerNordica is a member of the Merge network, formerly Poker.com. Game selection is below average due to the low player volume, the software is good, and the sign-up bonus is rather poor. This is the sort of poker room that some players will fall in love with due to the unique software and small and somewhat fishy player base; those looking for lots of tables to play at and great bonuses should look elsewhere.

Spielauswahl (Rated 5 out of 10)

As part of the Merge network, PokerNordica is one the smallest rooms around. PokerNordica has a very good variety of cash games available. Games played at PokerNordica include limit, pot-limit, and no-limit Hold 'em and Omaha; and limit and pot-limit Omaha Hi-Lo, 7-card stud, 7-card hi/lo, 5-card stud, Razz, 5-card Draw, Triple Draw, and Badugi. These games are spread from $0.02/$0.04 all the way up to $50/$100. Unfortunately, due to the small player base, it can be hard to get many of these games going. Sit 'N' Gos can be found with buy-ins from $2 to $500. Multi-table tournaments mostly focus on smaller buy-ins. Entries range from $0.06 (!) to $109, and the highest guaranteed tournaments are generally in the $2-3,000 region.

Stärke der Gegner (Rated 7 out of 10)

The Merge network has a good mix of players, but there are definitely more fish than sharks. Although it is one of the smallest sites, the traffic is fairly well-spread throughout the day, owing to the fact that the Merge network DOES allow US players. Unfortunately, PokerNordica does NOT.

Software (Rated 8 out of 10)

Merge Network's software has come a long way from its Poker.com days, when you couldn't even separate the game table from the lobby, or see more than one game at a time. Poker Tracker does NOT support Merge rooms, including PokerNordica. The PokerNordica lobby is one of the better designed ones around, especially for a small network. The different games are separated with tabs, and you can filter out full tables. The table list includes Average Pot Size, PF%, and Hands/Hr. There is also a tab for the Cashier, where you can deposit and cashout, and also see the status of pending bonuses. Although it appears that you need to open a table to add yourself to the waiting list, you can also do this by right-clicking on any table listed in the lobby. You can also make any table "sticky", so it goes to the top of the list and stays there; a handy little feature. Full-ring games are 9-player, and shorthanded games are 6-player. Shorthanded games are played on an actual 6-seat table. Tables are resizable.

Grafik (Rated 7 out of 10)

The full-ring tables at PokerNordica are fairly crowded. There's nothing in particular that seems excessive, but the bars with the players' info seem rather crowded into the center of the table. The tables are a green felt with a red background. PokerNordica uses small avatars next to the players' names. 4-colour decks are available. You can also choose whether to display hand descriptions, and card/chip animation can be turned off. One other feature that can be turned off is the speech bubbles, which some people might like to do just because of the "smilies". Merge has a very large selection of big smilies that appear in the speech bubbles, which some people will find appealing; others will find it very distracting.

Profitabilität (Rated 6 out of 10)

Merge bonuses are not very good; PokerNordica's clears as well as most do. The player quality is fairly good. PokerNordica offers a 150% bonus up to $300. The bonus is released in $10 increments, and expires upon withdrawal. Bonuses are cleared with comp points, at the rate of 250 points per bonus dollar. Comp points are awarded for every raked hand you are dealt into; you are awarded 3, 5, or 10 points for each of these hands based on the stakes you are playing.

Nordica review

Posted Mar 26, 2008 by Plasticninja

As part of the Merge Network the software at Nordica is very good.
This site is geared more for the micro limits and has a smallish player base but always enough to get a decent game, as they allow players from the USA.Clearing the bonus is easy enough and the players are passive so money can be made on top of the Savvy points.
Cashing in and out is smooth.

This was great bonus. Although there wasn't much traffic players were quite fishy. Now this is little more difficult because requirements have raised.

Quite a nice room

Posted Mar 03, 2008 by padik

Nordica was a quite nice pokerroom for me. They give 3 comp points per every raked hand at NL25 and NL50, so U have to play 5000 such hands to get your savvypoints. You dont have to be commited. What is bad: there are very few full ring tables, only 2-6 FR NL25 and max 2 tabled FR NL50. I like playing full ring so it's not room for me. Players are very tight in my opinion. Standard 4bb raise effects everyone fold most the time :(. Lobby and software are nice.

Very good software at Nordica

Like all merge network the software works very good.

The bonus is okay and comes in 10 USD increments.

The savvy points are a bit hard to get.

No tracker support

Easy Play at Nordica!

This is a Poker-Fish paradise! The players are extremely weak and fishy! Easy games, nice software - overall a nice room!

I love Poker Nordica's software and window presentation, the bonus requirements are really easy to clear and the cash out is fast! Good choice, PokerSavvy!

I played four $50 max buy-in no-limit Hold'em tables at a time and it took me about 10 days to finish the requirements of this bonus. Their software is good for multi-tabling, but lacks PokerTracker support. They also have very little player traffic.

Nice bonus offers!

At Poker Nordica you can play a lot of games... Hold'em, Omaha, Stud and draw poker cash games at all the limits you want to play. There are also a lot of tournaments and freerolls. You find a lot of players there, so tables at every limit were always filled. At Poker Nordica you can clear the requirements for the SavvyPoints bonus very fast. For every hand you play and don't sit out you receive Poker Nordica points! You get a nice 150% up to $300 deposit bonus! For every 2,500 Poker Nordica points you earn you get $10 of your instant deposit bonus! Nice poker room! I like playing there!

Pretty software...

Posted Oct 30, 2007 by Mr_Andrew

Poker Nordica has very pretty software with many unique features. 15,000 comp points is easy to earn playing $25 max buy-in no-limit games. There are many interesting free tournaments (only for points.) Although the player traffic is a bit low there are many fish at Poker Nordica!

Poker Nordica is part of the Merge Network with Poker.com and Carbon Poker. They have nice software with an easy to use lobby and several different table arrangements to choose from. Their cashier works well with no problems withdrawing. Poker Nordica is popular with small stakes players and you'll find yourself in a friendly atmosphere. They have generous freerolls with a monthly $50k freeroll tournament. The sign-up and reload bonuses are difficult to clear, though occasionally there are some easy bonuses to clear. One other neat thing is that you can obtain items with player points such as cards, clothes, etc.

My Poker Nordca Review!

It's pretty easy to meet the requirements to get the SavvyPoints bonus, maybe not the best software for multi-tabling, but there are poor players there and it's fun to play. I can recommend this place!

Poker Nordica is on the same network as Poker.com and Carbon Poker. They have good software and a good cashier lobby. They have the same freerolls as Poker.com with a few of their own promotions as well. Only one sign-up bonus is allowed on the network, so if you receive a deposit bonus from Poker Nordica, you cannot get a deposit bonus for signing up with another site on the Merge Network.

Odd Players...

Posted Aug 18, 2007 by Jinou

Players here are really weird. They're horrible, but in a weird way, they're fish and bluff way too much. Easy games to beat. Sadly, there's never that many players online. And their software looks really bad.

One of the easiest poker rooms. At Poker Nordica players earn a lot of money from freeroll tournaments, then they move to the ring games without the skills to play a real money game. This is your big chance to earn from the tables, the house bonus, and of course the free PokerSavvy gifts!

Good place!

Poker Nordica is a good place. Fishing at $50 max buy-in no-limit and in two days I'm up $420! Go to this poker room now!

New Room, Many Errors...

Posted Jul 07, 2007 by nikolcef

At first I thought this would be an easy one. There are some nice things at Poker Nordica, frequent freerolls, a lot of avatars, and animated messages. First bad thing is that their support is not very educated. They don't know their system well. Second bad thing, to withdraw freeroll winnings you have to get some number of points, and no one seems to know how many points you need. Their support told me that there is no such restriction, but there is. There is a small amount of players, and almost no one playing the Sit'n'Goes. The worst thing about Poker Nordica are the hands that come up. They are very strange. Sometimes I got the feeling that the dealer is after me, and sometimes I had the feeling that dealer is dealing for me. I have played a lot of poker rooms, but such strange hands I have seen only at Full Tilt and Poker Nordica. I am going to avoid this room after finishing the PokerSavvy bonus requirements.

Low Traffic...

Posted Jul 06, 2007 by elmo_letsgo

So, they only have 3 or 6 tables open for each limit. No PokerTracker compatibility and even at $1/$2 no-limit it took some time to clear it.

My Poker Nordica Review!

Poker Nordica is part of Merge Poker Network (Carbon poker, Poker.com). Their software works great and has nice graphics and 'emote icons', etc. Player traffic could be higher, but there are enough games going on at peak hours. The competition is really easy here. It takes 5,000 comp points to clear this promotion which means about 1,700 raked hands at lower limit tables. You will get 600 SavvyPoints and clear $20 of their own welcome bonus at this point. Easy to clear multi-tabling. Also, Poker Nordica has the same amazing freerolls that Poker.com has.

Same as Poker.com, but much easier!

Posted Jun 28, 2007 by nxtyear

Top notch site. Basically the same as Poker.com, but the PokerSavvy requirements are one-third of what Poker.com's requirements are. I suggest you hit this one more than I would suggest you do the other one. Attractive site, while the software is a bit too cluttered with pointless stuff, it is still easily navigated. The comp points are updated instantaneously, so you can track your progress quickly. I suggest you clear this by four-tabling $25 max buy-in no-limit Hold'em.
