Summary (Rated 6 out of 10)
Gnuf Poker is a member of the Microgaming network. Game selection is good but lacks players at some games, the player quality is good with careful table selection, the software is adequate, and the sign-up bonus is small and clears at one of the slower rates on the network.

Game Selection (Rated 5 out of 10)
As part of the Microgaming (Prima) network, Gnuf is a medium-sized room, similar in size to Bodog and the Boss network, for example. As is the case with many Microgaming sites, Gnuf does not allow US players. The Microgaming sites that do allow US players generally ban those from some states, so the number of North American players on the network is relatively low. This means the site generally peaks with European prime times.
Gnuf Poker has a good selection of cash games available; unfortunately, the network size mentioned above means there aren't always opponents to play at all games. Games played at Gnuf include limit, pot-limit, and no-limit Hold 'em, Omaha, 5-card draw, 5-card stud, and 7-card stud; and limit and pot-limit Ohama Hi-Lo. These games are spread from $0.05/$0.10 all the way up to $200/$400.
Sit 'N' Gos can be found with buy-ins from $0.90 to $1,000, although the higher buy-ins are usually empty; short-handed, turbo, and multi-table SNGs are also available. The Microgaming network has a series of "steps" style SNGs called "Rounders". Players are able to buy-in at different levels and step up through 5 rounds for a first prize of $3000; there is also a heads-up series with 7 rounds. There are a number of multi-table tournaments available, including a weekend tournament with a guaranteed prize of $200,000.

Quality of Players (Rated 6 out of 10)
The Microgaming network has an interesting mix of players. The low limits tend to attract a lot of tight bonus grinders due to the good bonus clearing often available at these limits. However, there are always a few fish to be found – table selection is critical at Microgaming, as is the time of day. At the quieter times, table selection just isn't possible.

Software (Rated 6 out of 10)
Gnuf Poker's software is average, and tends to be a resource hog. Those with slower computers are sometimes well-served using the Windows Task Manager to increase the priority of Gnuf in order to avoid lagging.
Poker Tracker fully supports Microgaming rooms, including Gnuf.
The Gnuf lobby has a couple of different ways to access games. The "Quick Start" allows you to select your game, table size, limit, and stakes, and then will take you to the first available table. Alternatively, you can find tables via a cascading menu similar to the left hand menu pane in Windows Explorer. This lets you drill right down to the limit you want to play, which makes for a nice clean list. The downside is that if you like to play a couple of different limits, you can only see tables from one limit at a time, unless you choose "All Games", but this shows all limits of a particular games, and lumps FL, NL, and PL together. There are both "Hide Full Tables" and "Hide Empty Tables" checkboxes, which are nice. The table list includes Average Pot Size, PF%, and Hands/Hr.
Waiting lists work quite smoothly at the Microgaming network. The only annoyance is the dialogue box that appears after you join, which just asks you to "OK" what you just did.
Full-ring games are 10-player, and shorthanded games are 6-player. Shorthanded games are played on a 10-seat table, using the bottom half of the table. There are 3 table sizes available, although the large view is the same as the normal view, but with the chat box on the side of the table, making it quite large while not changing the actual poker table size. There is also a mini-view, which is about 75% of the normal table size, and has a much more utilitarian appearance.
The cashier varies widely at different rooms on the Microgaming network. Gnuf is one of the few that requires you to do most transactions in an Internet browser, rather than in the software. The only thing you can do from the client software is deposit. Withdrawals, checking bonus status, etc., is all done on the website.
Graphics (Rated 6 out of 10)
The tables at Gnuf Poker are fairly simple; a turquoise felt with a black background. Gnuf does not use avatars.
4-colour decks are available. You can also choose whether to display borders for each player that show whether they have acted yet; game markers that show how much was bet and how many players were in for every round; and a hand description that only you can see.
Profitability (Rated 5 out of 10)
Microgaming rooms in general offer some good bonuses; unfortunately, Gnuf Poker is not one of them. It is extremely difficult to find any information about bonus clearing on the Gnuf website.
Gnuf Poker offers a 100% bonus up to $50. The bonus is released in a lump sum, and does not expire. Bonuses are cleared with Gnuf points, at the rate of 7 points per bonus dollar. Gnuf points are earned for every raked hand you are dealt into, no contribution required. The number of points you earn depends on the limit you play, and range from 0.05-2 points per hand. As an example, at 1/2 FL, you earn 0.4 points per raked hand. This effectively makes the bonus a 17.5x raked hand bonus at this limit. Not the worst, but there are many better bonuses on Microgaming, 10x or better. That being said, many of these better bonuses are drying up, and Gnuf's is dealt, whereas many are contributed.

My Gnuf Poker Experience...

Finished: DEC 2007
Playing Time: ABSOLUTELY SHORT (2 hours)
Played at: 10-handed NL Hold'em $0.50/$1 and $1/$2
Software: The lobby has a clear layout, with one click you can choose the kind of game you want to play and with another click the limit you're interested in. The tables are very simple and not as nice as they are at other poker rooms. I missed some pre-selection options you'd find at other poker rooms. The best function they have, which is not anywhere else, is that you can see the next card which would have been come if you didn't not fold! It sucks that you don't see your opponents cards not until the end of the river! And often there are not many people online, so you can only play at one or two tables at the same time (for 10-handed, 6-max are a lot more full)!
Deposit Bonus: It's okay, but you have to deposit the lowest amount, if you deposit too much you have to earn too many Gnuf Points!
The players are okay, but worse than at other sites. I guess it's quite easy to win money at Gnuf!
RESULT: THE BEST PokerSavvy bonus! You can get the bonus (800 SavvyPoints!!!) in less than two hours!!!
Very good bonus for tournament players

You have to play only 37 10+1 tournaments for 850 Savvypoints, which makes it good bonus especially for tournament players. Gnuf points are given using "dealt" method, so you don't have to contribute the pot to receive gnuf points. Competition was fairly soft, but there were many players who actually knew what they were doing. :D

That's what it felt like. Microgaming's software is one of the coldest(and fastest). And there were kinda little players at the times I was ready to rumble. Always the same few tables full and not easy to get a place in them.
Well, the points game really easy when you happened to get yourself into few FR tables with action. Unfortunately the game was mostly supertight(an army of grinding bonuswhores most likely :)).
So I didnt like the site, but I recommend cause of the easiness of getting points when youre in right place in right time. Just remember to take the most out of it.

This bonus is easy to clear if you're playing NL50 or higher. I need four Days to get the 400 Points.
The software is not so good and the players are average, so four stars.

Watch out for promotions on Gnuf!
Its very easy to collect that 400 points if they are on a promotion tour.
It took around 3 hours to finish that bonus and earn the savvypoints.
The software is not that good but the players are really bad!

Bad Software - Great Opposition

And I don't mean great opposition, great skills. But I mean great opposition, vary profitable. These guys have absolutely no idea what they are doing. It's not as bad as some other sites, but they just don't know anything about odds or position. People calling Q7 UTG is just a normal thing on GNUF.
So the opposition will most likely give you their money, but it's with a price. The software isn't that great. There's just so much wrong with it, I can't list everything. But one that annoyed me the most was that the tables can't be resized. BUT! Microgaming is going to use new software. So if you wait for a while, the software will be nice too. I already got to use the new software at an other Microgaming room and it's absolutely great. So hang on GNUF players, and you will be playing in a lovely, soft, relaxed treasure chest!

Nice micro-gaming network pokerroom. I play 0,50/1,00 SSS FR 4 tables and need 3 hours to clear 400 points. The full-ring tables with mostly over 30% FSQ are loose and you get a good pay of with your good hands. All in all one of the best Savvy rooms.

GNUF Poker is actually one of the nicest rooms I've ever played at. Both the website and the software looks great and runs smooth!
The competition at GNUF Poker is pretty good for the tight players around here. There are alot of loose players at the table who pay off almost anything! So if you know how to fish, start your fishing adventures at GNUF Poker!
The grapihcs of the software are pretyy standard but it works great. No hoobadoobs here and there, just a great smooth lobby and room.

Gnuf is on the Microgaming network.
The software probably needs an update but the Gnuf colour schemes are easy enough on the eye.
The players here are a bit of a mix, the good players are very solid but the bad players are very bad, table selection is important.
Cashing in and out is no problem and the points are easy enough to clear if you play six handed or multi table.

The software is solid. Maybe not the best one around but it's usable. Had lag twice (or so) but apart from that everything worked smoothly.
Played mainly sit & go's and it took quite a long time to get the amount of points required, but they've now increased the amount of points gained, so clearing the bonus should be significantly easier even for a low stakes player.

I played fixed limit holdem here at the blind levels of 0.5/1 and 1/2 (short and full). Mostly 1/2 short. Gnuf 'Poker is part of the Mikrogaming (Prima) network.
Pros:
-I liked software very much. Table filttering and selection was easy. Tables are plain but informative. Occasional freezing occurred.
-Email support was fast. All in all i liked the simplified look of the software and the webpage. Usability was good.
Cons:
-First deposit bonus hard to clear.
-Not too many players in fixed limit low limit games and few fishes. This clearly reduced the points in my books since it´s the one most important matter. The quantity and the quality of the players.

I'm surprised that the Gnuf bonus provides 1000 Savvy points because the requirements are very easy to complete. Like other Prima network skins, the raked hands are calculated on a dealt basis. This means that so long as you were dealt cards (don't have to put money in the pot) you will get points for the rake generated. In addition to the Savvy points, you get a 7xPP bonus from Gnuf for $50. This is one of the better clearing rates on the network. After finishing the bonus, there isn't much left to offer from Gnuf. The software is mediocre at best and is showing its age compared to the other sites. The player base is average and definitely can't keep up the volume of the larger sites.

This is a pretty good promotion. 1,000 SavvyPoints sure makes this bonus worth while. Gnuf Poker has a pretty decent lobby, but the table design is almost too simple. The competition there can be bit too loose, so your bankroll might takes some swings playing here.

Gnuf has clear, simple graphics and a good bonus which takes a long time to finish though the reward is very good and I liked playing there. This bonus is harder to get than the PokerTime bonus, but the reward is better. I would recommend this bonus after doing the PokerTime bonus. Also, note that they do not have resizeable tables at Gnuf...

Luckily I had registered my account before the requirements to clear the bonus went up. The bonus is okay, there are many players, and a lot of donkeys, but the software isn't so good. The big tables don't show bet sizes, so you have to check the chat all the time, and the mini-tables have some problems too. The pot size is often overlapped by the rake in big pots, and sometimes stack sizes are overlapped by the bet buttons. Also, the software is pretty ugly. On the other hand, the action moves fast! The lobby is okay compared to most sites, but still has some flaws. I'd definitely recommend this deal if you don't care too much about software, or if you like the simple Microgaming software.

The Gnuf bonus is hard to clear. I played $0.50/$1 6-Max limit Hold'em and it took me awhile to meet the requirements. The competition is tough, a lot of tight-aggressive players around there. So, it wont be easy to make a good profit in the cash games. Table selection for limit Hold'em is also a bit poor, just a few tables, even at peak traffic times. Just two stars!

I didn't like playing there and cashed out as soon as I met the requirements of the SavvyPoints bonus. There are a lot of gamblers, ugly and slow software, and too little players for multi-tabling in my experience. In the end, this was my worst experience of all the sites at PokerSavvy.

400 Gnuf Points is not that many, but the play at $1/$2 limit is pretty tight here. I would recommend you play Sit'n'Goes, though you don't get enough chips to play "real" poker. If you like a crap shoot, you should try their Extreme Turbo Sit'n'Goes, they are really fun!

Gnuf Poker looks different than most other poker rooms on the Internet. But, you find there are a lot of cash-game tables for all the stakes you want to play at. Their tournament offerings are also filled with any kind of tournament you want to play at all stakes. There are also a lot of freeroll tournaments. I kind of missed the ability to arrange the poker table windows specifically for multi-tabling. The cashier system at Gnuf is fast. You can check your Gnuf Points balance by looking at their website! Nice and easy place for playing to get a lot of SavvyPoints!

The Microgaming Network is filled with tight and weak players, at least at $50 and $100 buy-in no-limit cash games, so playing here is pretty boring and not very profitable. I completed this bonus when it was only worth 600 SavvyPoints and thought it really wasn't interesting. For 1,000 SavvyPoints it's an okay deal, but not the best offer you can find at PokerSavvy.

I don't understand their name... And I don't understand their website either, which is quite difficult to get around. As for the software, I don't particularly like MicroGaming's software. The players are on the whole average compared to other sites, if you play ABC poker you will do okay. The points are updated only when you close the software which is annoying, so if you want to check your progress you constantly have to leave your game, check and then reconnect and rejoin your game. The SavvyPoints bonus requirements are easy and there are always loads of tables to play at so I guess that makes up for it. Enjoy!

I did not enjoy this promo. Playing $0.50/1.00 limit the Gnuf Points came very slowly. Gnuf Points are calculated by contributed raked hands and not dealt like it says on the website. This bonus not worth playing. There was a lack of games to choose from. I had problems with a cash-out attempt (tried to cash-out before NETeller withdrew from Canada on April 9th.) I requested a cash-out on April 4th and four days later it still didn't go through. Finally, I canceled it on the 9th and have since lost the money.
Tough bonus, but good PokerSavvy promo!

Gnuf is a Prima skin. Gnuf Points accumulate fairly slowly, but it's still pretty easy to get the 100 points necessary to complete the bonus, and 850 SavvyPoints is generous. It's worth doing!

It took me about 1.3k hands playing shorthanded no-limit $100 max buy-in to clear this one, though the site's own deposit bonus is really tough for what you get. Opponents were unusually soft, my earlier experiences with Prima sites have been filled with hard, rock solid players.

I don't like this poker room. The graphics are very bad. Earning Gnuf Points is a very hard and slow process.
