El jugar en las últimas posiciones te da una mina de oro de información, pues los demás jugadores deben actuar antes que tú. Esta es una ventaja tremenda. Por ejemplo, si han subido y re-subido antes de que te toque el turno, puedes tirar todas las manos excepto las mejores -- AA, KK, QQ, y quizá AK del mismo palo.

Pero las últimas posiciones no solo te dan la oportunidad de tirar manos. Manos que no deberías nunca jugar en las primeras posiciones se vuelven más aptas para jugar en las últimas, pues no tienes que preocuparte por que otro jugador tenga una mano que domine la tuya (ver el Concepto Clave PokerSavvy: Dominación). Así que manos como A9, KQ, y KJ no solo se tornan jugables, son de hecho manos para subir. Y si nadie ha entrado a la mano aún, te da la oportunidad de tomar el control de la acción.

Por favor ten en mente, sin embargo, que la posición y las acciones previas siguen siendo factores críticos. Si juegas continuamente A9 después de que alguien sube desde las primeras posiciones, vas a perder dinero. Podrás ganar en ocasiones, pero a la larga, terminarás perdiendo.

En las últimas posiciones, también tienes la oportunidad de jugar manos para buscar proyectos (ver el Concepto Clave PokerSavvy: Manos Para Buscar Proyectos). Cuando veas que varios jugadores han entrado a la mano sin subir, puedes entrar tambén con una mano para buscar proyectos y esperar a obtener un buen flop.
