Tienes algo de información para trabajar con ella en las posiciones medias. Los jugadores que han actuado antes que tu han tomado algunas decisiones que puedes usar para tu ventaja. Por ejemplo, si el jugador UTG (under the gun, primero en actuar) sube, necesitas echar un vistazo a tu mano y evaluar su fuerza basándote en las acciones previas. Hasta una mano como AQ puede no ser tan fuerte después de que alguien sube UTG. Si nadie antes que tu realiza ninguna jugada, sin embargo, puedes subir con las mismas manos que jugarías en las primeras posiciones.

Además, si tienes una mano muy fuerte, como AA, KK, AK, o QQ, deberías re-subir si alguien ha subido antes que tu. Los mansos van a la bancarrota en el poker. Son los fuertes, los agresivos, los que hacen dinero. Claro que tienes que ser selectivo con tu agresión, pero en una situación como esta, donde el aislar a tu oponente es el curso de acción mas rentable, absolutamente necesitas re-subir. Nota que nuestros consejos para las posiciones medias y últimas nunca recomiendan sólo pagar. Después hablaremos sobre situaciones donde pagar puede ser apropiado, pero la mayoría de las veces deberías subir o retirarte (el retirarse siendo la mejor opción casi siempre). Recuerda, tu meta es convertirte en un jugador tight-agresivo, y retirarse=tight, subir=agresivo.
