Yhteenveto (Rated 7 out of 10)

Betfair is a medium-sized poker room as it is a relatively new poker site, especially considering that they use their very own stand-alone client. Betfair was launched in the year 2000 and has since become the world's largest internet betting exchange but they have only offered poker in their lineup of games since 2004. At first Betfair’s poker offering was part of the Cryptologic network, but in 2006 they left Cryptologic to start their own stand-alone poker room. While their software client is lacking, their very soft competition combined with friendly, fast and multilingual customer support makes Betfair a place worth visiting.

Pelivalikoima (Rated 6 out of 10)

Betfair no longer allows residents from the United States to play on their site, but they still have a respectable amount of players throughout the day. Their limit games provide tables with stakes ranging from $0.10/$0.20 to $250/$500, and no-limit and pot-limit from $0.05/0.10 to $250/500. Most of the games running at Betfair are no-limit or limit Hold'em. There are a few Omaha tables open, but the action in those are somewhat limited for small and medium-stakes players. People who are looking to play Omaha H/L or 7-Card Stud might want to pass on Betfair as they do not spread these games. For medium to high limit players, this site offers a great selection of scheduled tournaments. Betfair's most popular daily tournament is a no-limit Hold'em $100 buy-in event with a $15,000 guaranteed prize pool. On Sunday there's an even a bigger tournament, the buy-in being $250 with a $35,000 guaranteed prize pool. Unfortunately, Betfair doesn't offer as many tournaments for players with a small bankroll and their tournaments tend to have a relatively large buy-in. With that in mind, this is not such a great site for those hoping to find low buy-in tournaments with large fields. It goes without saying that most of the tournaments are restricted to Hold'em, though there are a few Omaha tournaments in there to occasionally mix things up. Betfair hosts a good number of satellites to various live events such as the World Series of Poker and the World Series of Poker Europe, and it’s also possible to make your way into these by playing in Sit'n'Go satellites. Betfair also has plenty of normal Sit'n'Go tournaments running throughout the day and these would be well suited to low-rollers as well.

Pelaajien Taso (Rated 7 out of 10)

Betfair's soft competition is one of best things they have to offer. Since they have a huge amount of sports bettors who want to try their hand at poker as well, there are plenty of fish playing in low-limit games and, surprisingly, at higher stakes as well. Of course, those players have attracted the sharks, so be careful or they just might end up making you look like a donkey!

Ohjelmisto (Rated 5 out of 10)

Unfortunately, there is one big setback for Betfair and that is the quality of their software. The basics are all in place, but there are a few things that don’t work as well as they should and this is why their client is below average compared to others in the poker business. The lobby looks a tad on the cheap side and there is only one menu available for browsing all of their games, so taking a look through the currently running games might seem a little hard at first. There is one great thing about Betfair's client, and that is the possibility to resize tables. This is very useful, especially when playing multible tables at the same time. Overall, Betfair's software is well below average but once you get to know it, you can definately use it without having too many problems.

Grafiikat (Rated 6 out of 10)

The graphics at Betfair are fairly standard, the blue theme they use works very nicely. Betfair's lobby looks a little bit dull and old by today’s standards, but it shouldn't bother anybody too much. As for the table graphics the software has a nice, clean view and you can see where the action is without having to strain your eyes. Betfair doesn't offer any avatars or any other extra visual goodies, but overall it looks good enough.

Tuottavuus (Rated 8 out of 10)

Betfair has a whopping $1,000 first deposit bonus, so if you're looking for a permanent site to play at, this is the place to go. Their huge bonus, combined with the fact that the players there are well below average both at low and high limit games makes Betfair a site worth checking out.

Terrible Players, Easy bonus

Posted Apr 19, 2008 by jugadorjavier

I enjoyed playing at Betfair. I thought the players were subpar and just there to gamble really. I found very loose action. The software leaves a bit to be desired. I don't really like the button placement. And the site went down a couple of times while I was playing. I enjoyed my time at Betfair though and would recommend it to others.

Very easy bonus to collect,i play NL10 full ring and doubled my deposit

Nothing Remotely Special

Posted Mar 27, 2008 by Jason101

Somewhat unimpressed with Betfair, to be honest.

In their defence, the software was bug-free and ran well, and there were always games available to join at the limit I wanted (as long as it was Hold 'em...).
However, the software was ugly, clunky and poorly designed. Player quality was relatively poor, although Aggressive players will struggle here, as the locals will NOT be pushed out of a pot, and bad beats are a way of life at Betfair. Somewhat unusually, the standard of the SnGs is slightly higher than that of the ring games, and the bad beats may be a little less prevalent there. Also, you get quite a lot of points for tournament entries, so if you're a tournament player, it's worth a look I guess.

All in all, Betfair isn't the worst site out there, just don't expect anything other than the vanilla-flavoured bog standard poker-room-by-numbers and you won't be disappointed.

BetFair review.

Posted Mar 21, 2008 by Mahut

Hello there. My experience with Betfair is fairy not much interesting. Its not a bad one, but not a good either. I couldn't use my pokertracker, so it changed a lot in my game. There are many bad players ( even worse than me :D ), so i did make some profit.

Overally, im not goiong to play there any soon. Thx for your points and opportunity to get in touch wit new casino.

Have a nice day, Mahut.

done this bonus in two days only with cash game (NL10, 20) and some sng tournaments. Easy to clear!

betfair and points

Posted Mar 17, 2008 by maddogg

I was surprised how easy it was to get the points needed to collect the bonus. I doubted I would get it but after less that 2 weeks with one hour of playing each day I had reached the points needed for the bonus. Great!

the best thing with betfair is to me the resizable interface. You can make your poker tables as big or small as you wish fitting loads of tables on your screen. I havent tried or than 5 but that's more than enough for me anyway.

My Review at Betfair

Posted Mar 15, 2008 by Eisbox

Betfair is using their own software which needs some time getting used to it.

The players are really weak in there. Seems that there are a lot of people trying poker for the first time.

The bonus is very easy to clear.

Only one thing is negative through my eyes.

Your account can get locked very fast and you need to send them a verification of your identity and residental address before you can go on playing!

Betfair Competition

Posted Mar 14, 2008 by poupman

Easy to clear on NL10$. I jsut played about 10-12 days and about 1 hour a day 3 tabling. This competition isn't relly a problem and the players are very bad at betfair.

Saturday night fever

Posted Mar 12, 2008 by Lihamylly

I liked the site. It wasnt anything fancy, but it also didn't miss anything. The level of players was quite average IMO. But there seemed to be a wild wild night at weekends. Maybe I just happened to witness tables going loco at 2 different saturday nights. It was actually my first steps in NL world after a FL start of my poker career, so maybe it just felt grazy cause of that. Anycase, I doubled-tripled my roll at both times :)

I also liked the possibility to resize the tables to any size I wanted. The bonus is easy to achieve even in 10NL-25NL. I used mostly 10NL if I recaal correctly. I recommend to all bonuswhores.

OK

Posted Mar 02, 2008 by SlamALot

I played NL HE 25/50. The software is not the best, although multi-tabling is easy. The traffic is quite low, so you can´t play more than 3 tables at the same time. The opponents are bad.

Bad memories

Posted Mar 01, 2008 by makan18

I don`t like this room at all. The Microgaming soft is very bad and it`s very hard to play there for players who prefer multitabling. You can find there a lot of "fishes" who would call you with bottom pair so be careful with C-bets. Besides a lot of cons this is extremely easy to clear this bonus.

Betfair poker

Posted Feb 27, 2008 by sigi

The Betfair bonus is pretty easy to clear even in the small limits, it took me only a couple of evenings in NL25 to get the required points. The software is not so good and somewhat confusing in the beginning.

Good value

Posted Feb 26, 2008 by Cobra89

Easy savvy points but lousy sign up bonus. The skin was awful in my opinon.

So Fast....

Posted Feb 26, 2008 by Jay Dawg

I was amazed. I played just one evening and the next day checked my point balance to see how close I was. As it turned out I had actually played more than enough to finish the requirements.

The players there are so loose. During my visit I had pocket aces a total of 5 times.....didn't win with them once. Not because I was trying to slow play, but because half of the table wants to play the pot even when its raised.

I was lucky to make a profit there, I did get a lock on the best hand a couple of times and got payed off very well when I did.

Highly recomend this room as a quick bonus, but expect some bad beats.

My Betfair Review

Posted Feb 25, 2008 by late

1) The players on Betfair are very loose!
2) The players on Betfair call down very light!
3) The action is good, cash-outs are easy, and the PokerSavvy bonus completes in a day or so. Overall I recommend this room!

Easy to clear but weird opponents

Posted Feb 25, 2008 by Starkilla

The software is a little bit strange at first sight and it seriously lacks some useful features. The opponents are weak but sometimes you run into some sharks and realise it too late. I played NL50 and cleared the bonus in two days so it is a really easy bonus.

My Betfair bonus

Posted Feb 25, 2008 by LurQ

Betfair was really easy bonus to complete. It took me 2 days in NL25 tables to clear. I give Betfair 4 out of 5 stars. 1 star is missing from full 5 because of the software and graphics. In my opinion they were absolutely horrible. But it wasn't problem because bonus was easy to clear and opponents were unbelievably fishy. This is bonus I can really recommend!

Very easy

Posted Feb 25, 2008 by markusnik

I think that this is the easiest bonus. You have to pay only $25 rake. It takes only one day to clear it in NL50 tables. Software is very ugly but working well.

Very easy

Posted Feb 20, 2008 by vanDesp

I think Betfair bonus is one of the easiest bonus to clear. Even in the NL10 level. Software is not the best one. And multitable playing is not possible with the old computers, because it takes so much of your computer power. The client looks very nice, and its easy to follow what's happening in the tables. And the best thing, while you are clearing your bonus is that you can easily double up your initial deposit because of the poor quality of the players. Betfair is a good starting point for the new low-limit players.

nice software, few tables

Posted Feb 19, 2008 by kolo5

I enjoyed playing Betfair. The software has no avatars or pictures of chairs, which I found refreshing and clear. I played 0.50/1 Limit Holdem, and you can get to the bonus reasonably quickly this way.
Competition is mostly drunken Brits and aggressive Scandinavians.
Main gripe is the number of tables. There are not enough limit players to keep tables running all of the time, so I spent a lot of time on waiting lists.

very hard bonus

Posted Feb 19, 2008 by aase35

the bonus is very hard to release but it is not so hard to get savvy points.

only around 25 dollars in contributed rake.

the software is not the best around but is working ok.

there are many loose players.

Betfair - yet another easy one

Posted Feb 19, 2008 by maxiv

Got the required points in a couple of evenings. Their software is maybe the worst ever.

Some problems, but everything went fine after all

Posted Feb 19, 2008 by JoeDalton

This was one of the fastest bonuses i cleared. I got the points done in two days. The game selection on cash tables was quite nice. There was enough low level short handed nl tables to choose from and the players werent that great either. By 4 tabling and playing some sng tournaments I got the bonus done in one weekend @ nl10-25.

The trouble was with my registration. I had messed something in my signup, but by help of pokersavvy staff and betfair affiliate manager everything got sorted out and points are now on my account. It took a week extra to recieve the points, but it's good to know that both supports worked perfectly.

One of the room you should do first

Posted Feb 17, 2008 by spazn

It was a very good experience at Betfair poker, its pretty easy to clear the bonus at 50NL and 25NL.
The software isnt really good but player are fishy so you shouldnt mind!

betfair

Posted Feb 13, 2008 by feineshelles

This is a good bonus for micro limit players. The 250 betfair points are earned very quickly.

The poor software and the low traffic are the negative thing about betfair.

Fairplay @Betfair

Posted Feb 13, 2008 by p337

I played the betfair bonus after I had completed the Paradise bonus, and I am amazed that it was so easily to clear, it just took me about a few hours, really perfect for beginners. Great pokerroom.

Very FAST !

Posted Feb 08, 2008 by nils101

I played just 6 hours on 2 tables. After this 6 hours i cleared the bonus. Easy Points! The software and the tables are unusual but after a few minutes you enjoy the time you played.

Easy Bonus, but ugly software and many terrible players

Posted Feb 05, 2008 by antiheld77

Is the best pokersavvy bonus for micro limit players.
The software is very ugly and a lack of traffic.
The opponents are terrible, so your bankroll should grow instantly on this room.

My Betfair Poker Review!

Posted Jan 31, 2008 by marsupilami74

This is a good site to clear a bonus at. The bonus is very easy to finish, maybe the easiest bonus there is. Their software is very bad, but so are the players.

very good bonus

Posted Jan 29, 2008 by Hyppysuora

Probably the best pokersavvy bonus for micro limit players, over 300% rakeback. There are many bad players playing in Betfair. I will play more in there in the future.

Negative thing is that there are so few players at the same time. Sometimes you really have to wait for them.

nice bonus

Posted Jan 25, 2008 by Morb

The bonus was nice to clear. The only thing i was sad about was, that there aren´t much tables on which you can play.

Betfair, easy bonus

Posted Jan 23, 2008 by ferme

Betfair bonus was easy to clear.
I did not like the client at all.
Players at betfair are pretty fishy.

Easy Bonus

Posted Jan 23, 2008 by Khali

This Bonus is really fast to clear - even at NL10 and NL20 it took only a few hours to clear this bonus. The downside is the slow and ugly software and a lack of traffic.
The opponents are awful, so your bankroll should grow instantly on this room.

Easy to clear but...

Posted Jan 22, 2008 by Koiku69

The promotion was easy to clear, took me 3 days 2-tabling NL50 and didn't even play much during those days. But I actually didn't like the software, it was very different from other poker room software. The opponents were mostly very easy to beat, because they called pot size bets with overcards practicully. But therefore many "bad beats" happen because of the soft competition. On any other software I would be thrilled to continue playing, but this software made me cashout as soon as possible, because it was so bad, in my opinion.

Betfair Poker

Posted Jan 22, 2008 by Soossie

Plop!

The software was horrible. Didn't like it at all. It was good to minimize the playing window, cuz' I have a pretty small monitor. That was probably only good thing on the software.

Players that were there was awesome. So much fishes that you couldn't catch them all. Sometimes I couldn't understand what those idiots were doing. Ofc. there's always some regular player who bust you out every hand, so try to avoid them.

About the bonus, it was easy to clear at NL10/NL20 stakes.

Bonus clearing

Posted Jan 22, 2008 by csapovic

It was easy to clear. The skin is not the best, and the softvare need a lot of power, but it was 99% ok.
I can make the rake hands about 5 hour, on two-three 0.25-0.5 NLH and PLO table.

Good bonus.

Betfair done

Posted Jan 21, 2008 by jonesheviman

Betfair poker room was quite nice place to play in. The only major downside was that there were quite few players there. A major upsides were the software and the leaderboards which they have for various stakes and game types. The leaderboards gave the playing an additional excitement as you could see (and be seen) how you were doing by looking the leaderboards. They also pay a monthly prize for the best ten players in each leaderboard. Nice!

Mediumsized pokerooom

Posted Jan 20, 2008 by zuke74

Not lot's of player and client is terrible.Very laggy and hard to use.Players are pretty bad so u can make few bucks here:)

Easy Savvypoints

Posted Jan 19, 2008 by j0ernaldo

At Betfair Savvypoints are earned easily. At the Nl50$ tables it took me only a few days of casual play to fullfill the requirements. The players are bad so you will earn some money and get horrible badbeats.

The software is functional but is designed in ugly colours. The support is good and the cashout speed was also ok.

Betfair points are only updated one time a day between 3h-4h at night (Europeen Time)

I can recommend this room to all Microlimits players who want to start with Savvy.

Easy points on Betfair!

Posted Jan 17, 2008 by kuken0

I played NL10- 4 tables, 1-2 hours a day. I cleared bonus in 11 days. There are a lot of fish and loose players. But the software and the lobby are horrible- the worst I have ever seen. But thanks Pokersavvy for easy points to clear!!!

Good room

Posted Jan 17, 2008 by Scheatt

I played on $2+0.2 SnGs and it's a good room of gamblers, pretty easy to finish in low stakes (CG or SnG).
A quick remember!

Soooo easy

Posted Jan 15, 2008 by CrappyLawyer

Probably the easiest promotion I've completed, easy even at microlimits. The players at Betfair aren't Einsteins that's for sure. Software is pretty handy when you get used to it.

All and all a-must-do at pokersavvy.com.

Betfair: Good Poker Room

Posted Jan 14, 2008 by fjklm123

The reason I played at Betfair was the had an very easy bonus, which is great. There are a lot of fishes here! The support is good and the cash-out takes less then 12 hours. The bonus only took me a couple of hours. The reason Betfair isn't getting 5 stars from me is that the client was very ugly, but I recommend the bonus to all Poker-Savvy players!

Poor Graphic Interface - But Easy Bonus!

Posted Jan 10, 2008 by kyykyy

Very bad bad graphics. I didn't like them at all. I think that pretty eyasy to earn those 250 betfair points that you need for savvypoints. To see your money and betfairpoints standing you have to log in again and again. This is very easy way to get savvypoints. maybe easiest ;)

Great room

Posted Jan 09, 2008 by bbclb00

My trip to Betfair was a really profitable experience! The room is easy to use, and it has a pretty nice look. The only problem was that there are not that many players, so they didnt have big guarantee tournaments running all day, but the cash tables were fine. Getting the 250 points for the bonus was more than easy.

Solid

Posted Jan 09, 2008 by MrSteele

I played along 4 days for this bonus, only $5 S&Gs. You receive 5 points per S&G und the players there are very bad.

Quick and easy bonus!

Betfair

Posted Jan 07, 2008 by ollippeti

I think the competition in betfair was poor. And savvybonus was easiest to clear in pokersavvy. It took about 5 hours playing 3x NL50 6-max tables. I recommend this to everyone, its almost like free money. The reason why I didnt give 5 stars was their ugly ugly ugly, absolutely disgusting software. It is the worst software I´ve ever used.. If you need to change $100 to $300-400 this is the place for you!!!

Fishtank...but some minor issues

Posted Jan 06, 2008 by SheriffWoo

Competition is very soft on this site, while clearing the bonus I made a $100 extra profit from the players there.

The SavvyPoints itself clear very fast, it only took me 2 days in the low limits (SH) to clear the Points.

I highly recommend the site, it was my easiest site to get Savvy Points on.

One negative aspect was, that betfair hadn't tracked correctly me to Savvy, although I downloaded through the link and entered the bonus code. After some telephone chats with their support they finally tracked me to Savvy and the points came quiet fast then.

Especially for micro to low-limit players, betfair is a fantastic opportunity to accumulate SavvyPoint fast.

My Betfair Poker Review

Posted Jan 03, 2008 by juhamkoi

Hello
Betfair Poker room was very easy to clear on NL 0.2/0.5 level and playing a few tournaments. Everything was working fine, not any problem. There was only one negative point, you cant see your Betfair points in table, those are able to see only in "My account" internet site. Cash table are very popular, a lot of players. I can recommend to everyone who needs easy points. Money transfer was easy and fast. Great Site!

Betfair: 8/10!

Posted Jan 02, 2008 by pokerpingu

Betfair had really nice software! You could easy see what was going on - and support was good. Their casino is tempting, but points earned in the Casino do not count towards completing your PokerSavvy Bonus. My final rating is an 8 out of 10

Easy Bonus at Betfair!

Posted Jan 02, 2008 by Tailyn

Great site with alot of loose and easy opponents. Personally I did not like the software, and felt that the game-play ran slowly. However, once you get used to it you will be able to win a nice amount of money in addition to clearing the bonus pokersavvy provides. The bonus is very easy to clear!

A definite must

Posted Dec 27, 2007 by Pedro55555

I found the players at betfair to be some of the loosest on the internet so this was another great promotion. Even though this was a contributed rake promotion it seemed to go really quickly. The only down side would be the traffic volume at the times I can play late evening in central canada. That all said this is a very profitable bonus, it does take a few hands to get used to the crazy aggression though.

Easy competition at Betfair poker

Posted Dec 27, 2007 by mpsfg1

I don't like the software at Betfair but it is really easy to win against the many weak players at NL10 and NL20 HE.

So I would recommend it for the easy money.

But the software sucks. I never even found out how to rebuy without leaving the table.

Good Bonus

Posted Dec 23, 2007 by BeneLuxxx

This was my first bonus with pokersavvy, and it was easy, fast, and also pretty fishy. I was playin micro limits NL10 and NL20, and it was very fishy there, Top pair 2kicker or mid pair was a reason for some to call all-ins. I didnt like the tournaments and the sngs there though, because there is not that much action, and the buyins are not very variable. All in all, its a great site to make money at for a cash game player, but not very good for a tournament player.

Easy Bonus

Posted Dec 19, 2007 by Dobstar

I really liked playing at Betfair Poker. The software is pretty good, and the opponents are pretty fishy. I cleared the bonus within a week, only playing NL10 and NL20, so it is also a good choice for low limit players. I can really recommend this room. Thanks pokersavvy for the great bonus!

Easy game at Betfair

Posted Dec 11, 2007 by RunItTwice

There are LOTS of fishy opponents on Betfair poker. They call big raises with cards like 103s or trash like that. But, in fact, if you are doing good, playing with such opponents is quite profitable! The software is not very comfortable, but it's not hard to get used to it. I liked graphics overall.

Very easy points !

My Betfair Poker Review!

Posted Dec 05, 2007 by Orpheus83

I didn't like Betfair Poker that much. Their software felt a bit awkward to use and the graphics are only so-so. On the plus side, the SavvyPoints bonus is fairly easy to get.

Nice bonus!

Posted Dec 03, 2007 by Leviathan

My computer was really busy since their poker client uses so many system resources, so I couldn't multi-task or use my computer for anything else while playing at Betfair. Besides that, it was a fast-clearing bonus playing at $25 max buy-in no-limit tables. Took about 10 hours of playing. There are a lot of fish at Betfair, I recommend this bonus!

Nice site wrapped in a bad package...

Posted Dec 03, 2007 by omvalta

There were a few things I liked about Betfair, but there was also one thing that ruined it all. The competition was very soft and there was great number of very loose players. This means big pots and big variance but in the long run a fairly good player should be able to make profit. Another good thing about Betfair was their fast customer support and speedy money transactions. On the downside their software was really bad. Playing at three tables at the same time was enough to make the software stall and made playing painful. Also, the graphics are dull and offer nothing special.

My Betfair Poker Review!

Posted Nov 29, 2007 by Henk_M

When I first played at this site I was shocked at the simple graphics. But, once I played more it became very clear and easy to use, in the end I really liked it. I recommend this bonus because it's a new, worthwhile experience in the online poker world.

Maybe the easiest bonus...

I have never cleared a bonus this fast. The needed points accumulated very fast. Betfair's software didn't like my computer as it used 100% of my CPU all the time, but at least I could still play. There were a lot of fish playing at $25 max buy-in no-limit Hold'em, therefore you'll suffer a lot of bad beats since they draw with almost anything but in the long run that's ideal. The SavvyPoints bonus itself was very easy to get and I would recommend it to anyone, even to those who play micro-stakes games like I do. Go for it!

Easy Bonus!

This bonus is very easy to clear. I play $100 max buy-in no-limit and it took me no more than five hours of multi-tabling four tables to clear the bonus. There were always enough tables to play. What I don't like at all is the graphical interface which makes it very difficult to play at more than two tables at the same time. I was often timing out and folding hands as the table which requires action wouldn't consistently pop-up when it was my turn. Anyway, there are so many fish there that I managed to double my bankroll in the few hours I played.

Great offer!

It's really easy to get this bonus! I got my SavvyPoints in less than a week playing low limit Hold'em.

This was an easy SavvyPoints bonus. The Betfair Poker website was okay and the players there were below average skill level. Recommend to everyone!

Betfair is one of the largest sports betting companies in the world. It's poker room is relatively small and the action is mostly shorthanded. There are not many players around, but the ones that are there are incredibly weak/loose. One Scottish guy called my reraise all-in on a 779 board holding 53o for $80 while I was holding pocket aces! The bonus is very easy to clear at $50 or $100 max buy-in no-limit Hold'em, I played at four full ring tables at a time for about six hours, I would have cleared the bonus even faster if I had been playing shorthanded. The software is okay, no major annoyances except for the lobby.

Highly recommended!

I finished this bonus within a couple of days playing short-handed $0.50/$1 fixed-limit Hold'em, at the same time more than doubling my bankroll. Competition at Betfair is as often as weak as it is aggressive, so expect high fluctuation of your stack. In the end, it pays out to play there. Their software is okay.

Players at Betfair are very loose, which probably forces some better players to tighten up a bit. There are quite a lot of all-ins at the lower limits, so there's definitely some money to get here. The software is quite slow and the windows are big and ugly. Multi-tabling is possible, but you have to overlap the windows on top of each other.

Betfair is a stand alone poker site linked to a large betting exchange. It doesn't accept US players. I like the software but it is a bit quirky and I have had some di
