Résumé (Rated 7 out of 10)

Being around since 2004, Hollywood Poker has established themselves as the #2 site in the OnGame network (first being Pokerroom). The key to their success? Perhaps it was their celebrity endorsements (although they are mostly Hollywood B-listers), their wide tournament availability, or their unique bonus scheme which allows you to choose the bonus to your own requirements. Overall, Hollywood Poker is a solid site to play on, with large traffic and various promotions to increase your profitability.

Choix des parties (Rated 8 out of 10)

Hollywood Poker offers a ton of game options including Limit/PL/NL Hold'em, Limit/PL/NL Omaha, Limit/PL/NL Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud, 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo, and 5 Card Draw! The table sizes are available in full ring (10-handed), 5-max, or Heads-up. The 5-max is an unorthodox choice as most other sites tend to offer 6-max, so your play should be adapted. For SNGs, Hollywood Poker offers some very unique games, such as the MAD TILT ALL-IN SNG's where you get 60 chips and blinds start at 10/20! They also offer multi-tabe SNGs, Turbo SNGs, Heads-up SNGs and some qualifiers to bigger tournaments. They run a wide range of tournaments to suit everyone's needs from guaranteed prize pool tournaments to Short-handed or Re-buy tournaments. Some special tournaments also exist such as the Michael Woods Invitational where you will receive a bounty prize for knocking out the participating celebrities! What makes Hollywood Poker even more special is the option to open Private tables, customized to your own requirements (such as number of players, blind levels, prize structure, re-buy options etc). If you're the casino gambling type, Roulette and Blackjack tables are also available.

Niveau des Joueurs (Rated 5 out of 10)

There are a diverse range of players in the network. There are the regular moneymakers who play solid poker, and also a lot of fishes who watch Celebrity Poker Showdown and aspire to become the next James Woods (ha ha). Overall, especially at the lower levels, you will see a lot of chips being thrown around. Perhaps it's the Scandinavian influence (OnGame Network advertises heavily in Scandinavia), but a lot of players tend to play Loose-Aggressive. Therefore, tighten up! The players are by all means beatable if you know how to adjust (which is tight in this case). And don't be too scared of their min-re-raises!

Logiciels (Rated 6 out of 10)

Hollywood Poker definitely does not have the best software around. The cash game lobby tends to be very long, and without a filter capability, it is very difficult to choose a game as the list keeps updating (and changing orders!). Blind levels in No-limit cash games are shown in an odd format. The most annoying feature is the fact that you must sit out to reload your chips, meaning that occasionally you end up missing hands (and if you were next to be blinds, you'd miss a whole round). Furthermore, the cashier, the tournament details and a lot of other important information must be viewed from your internet browser, rather than a new window within the software. This can cause a lot of inconvenience while playing. On the upside, you can play poker without having to download the software. The Java Platform the online version runs on is just as smooth, and replicates the software to its every detail. If you are on the go and tend to use a computer other than yours a lot, Hollywood Poker is definitely the place you want to be playing at. Furthermore you can view your statistics as the software keeps track of all your hands in a database (not available in the no-download version), and create private tables.

Graphismes (Rated 7 out of 10)

The software has a very nice clean view, and you can see where the action is very clearly. Hollywood Poker has an excellent mini-view feature. Although it is hard to find, press the small icon on the bottom right corner of the tables to toggle the mini-view on/off. It is definitely one of the nicest mini-views around (to see ugly, go to any Microgaming site such as Dreampoker). As for the avatars, if you have played in any other OnGame network sites, you will realize that the avatars are unique. They can be distracting at first but you’ll get used to them and won't realize they are there after a while. Some players will not like the red color scheme of the graphics. It can start to hurt your eyes when you play too much. Nonetheless, the upsides of the software graphics and the outstanding mini-view outweigh the downsides such as the color scheme and the avatars.

Rentabilité (Rated 8 out of 10)

There are five options to choose from for the initial deposit bonus. Depending on your bankroll, and the amount of time you will play on the site, you can choose different bonuses. For example, the lowest of the bonuses is $200 plus a small gift such as a Hollywood Calendar Girls (yay!). The bonus amount is small, but you only need to earn 6 Poker Points per Bonus Dollar, which is paid in two installments of $100 each. The largest bonus is $1500 + an iPod Nano. It sounds great, but you need 12 Poker Points per Bonus Dollar, and you only have 90 days to clear it (although it pays out in $250 increments). If you are a high stakes player and expect to stay in Hollywood Poker for a while, the largest bonus is the way to go. Otherwise, pick what you deem clearable. Hollywood Poker doesn't offer reload deposit bonuses, but you can use the Poker Points to buy a bonus. Hence if you play at a certain level, you can continuously clear the bonus and then buy a new one with the points earned, so you will always be clearing a bonus! Hollywood Poker also offers additional promotions such as Happy Hours four times a week. On Mondays, it's the Top Set Payday, where if you hit a set of Aces, you can win 10 times the big blind up to $100. On Wednesdays, it is Quad Aces & Faces. Hit quad Aces/Kings/Queens/Jacks and win between 25x to 100x the big blind, up to $1000. Finally, on Saturdays and Sundays it is the Flush Frenzy. Catch an Ace High flush to win 5x the big blind, a Straight flush to win 50x the big blind, or a Royal flush to win 150x the big blind! Playing at these happy hours will definitely help boost your bankroll!

I started with 50 dollars on hollywood poker and quickly earned more through the fishes, but the great bonusses of savvy and hollywood gave me even a lot more. It build my roll in a few weeks.

Go here and build your roll!!

Next ongame room

Posted Apr 02, 2008 by damianwin

I add one star more because its easy to earn savvy points there. But I really hate ongame network. I'ts so many badbeats, suckouts and runner runners on the river. It's really hard to win with premium hands coz there are many donks who are calling with any two and they flopping two pairs, sets etc. Soft its also terrible. I cannot play more than 4 tables because when I open 5th,6th my computer can't work with this awful ongame soft. Profitability is not good too. They offering standard bonus 8points for 1$. I can't honestly reccomend this room. Only positive thing is that u can earn 200 points very fast and get some savvy points for it.

Hollywood, easy limit games

Posted Mar 30, 2008 by HannaR

Hollywood (alongside with the other OnGame network sites) has very soft limit games, at least in the .5/1 to 3/6 limits, the software is either horrible or great depending on your tastes. The deposit bonus ain't too hard to clear so it's cool.

Easy promotion. Players, however, are very bad, so I am warning you that you are very likely to experience big number of bad beats.

Even i tho iam in every day minus in profit and had like many bad beats every day i finished in slightly profit after 400 points and made up 150$ from depositing ( 50) so i would say i liked it and its not really hard to clear ! good luck for every one !

Hollywood poker

Hollywood poker is one of various Ongame network skins so there are plenty of games going on all around the clock. On top of usual ongame tournaments HP hosts various celeb tournaments with bounty prizes on celeb heads. So far it all seems good. When you start playing you will probably rather quickly notice that there's something wrong with the software. Layouts are ok and minitables are available but the client is SLOW. I was experiencing problems running even 3-4 tables at the same time. Also there are some horrible small glitches that can ruin your impressions. For example ring game players need to sit out to reload their stacks. Overall the site itself is nice, too bad the network software has some severe issues.

Hollywood poker is part of Ongame network which has very good player base so you can find games almost anytime. Savvypoints clear pretty fast. Also keep eye on their top set and quad promotions which give nice extra value when playing.

Hollywoodpoker - were the stars play

Hollywood poker is a good site if you are playing on the lower tables. But I did not like the graphics and the client took alot of CPU from the computer. The cashouts are slow, same with the livesupport.

Pretty hard to get 400 points at 50NL tables. Took about week to complete this bonus ( multiabling 4 tables about 1 hour in day ). Software is not very comfartable.

cant multitable

Posted Mar 11, 2008 by MOHXFOKELS

ongame is superlaggy and hard to multitable, if you normally play maximium of 4 tables then it dosnt matter but when playing more than 4 tables it makes ur cpu cry like a baby. so if you normally play 4 or less tables then you can play there. its still however quite easy bonus. gl hf.

There are every time enough players to play NLHE. And the players are very weak. Thats great. But i dislike the software. More then one time they shutdown.

I thought this was a nice poker room. The software was kind of bad.It took me a few weeks to complete the savvy requirements. Its not the fastest bonus available but its a nice one.

The easiest Bonus...

Posted Feb 29, 2008 by antiheld77

I think that is the easiest bonus by pokersavvy. This is a good bonus for micro limit players. I needed one week for this bonus. I played NL10$...But attention! The software is very very poor and ugly.

quite ok

Posted Feb 28, 2008 by mckanthy

Despite the fact that the ongame software is really awful and didn't allowed to play more than 4-5 tables, the hollywood poker bonus is quite easy to clear even in the lower limits. Competition is average and as everywhere on ongame you will find a lot of player at all time in different games. Additionally ongame is one the last places you can play limit omaha with a lot of players

I thought this was a nice poker room. The software ran well. The players were around average. It took me a few evenings to complete the savvy requirements. Its not the fastest bonus available but certainly its a decent one.

Hollywood Poker which part of the Ongame network has more fishes than most of the sites I've played at. However I don't like the software because multitabling is challenging already with 3-4 tables.

My first savvypoints

Posted Feb 19, 2008 by JoeDalton

I really loved playing at Hollywood poker. They have nice game selection (normal ongame+some own tourney's) I really loved their bonus system that added value of this bonus, especially worth playing were the days when there was quad promotions going on. Those give nice little boost to roll when they hit. Also the sng's with some star players are nice cause most of the stars are fishes, and other players playing with the stars chat with stars and forget to play :).

Other thing nice was their great welcome freerolls and bigger added value tournaments. This is a great site and the bonus was quite easy to do. I played at levels nl10 to nl25 and it took me about 30h total multitabling and playing some sng's and tournaments.

Great Bonus!

Posted Feb 18, 2008 by BennyMiles

The Hollywood Poker sign up was very easy to clear. And together with the Savvy Point it's a real great deal!

You'll find a lot of players at all times and the level of competition is mostly average with some really bad players.

Good Action on Hollywood Poker!

Posted Feb 18, 2008 by FQ463

I played NL50 short handed at Hollywood Poker. There are a lot of tables to play at and a lot of bad players! But those pesky card chasers sometimes do hit their 2 outer on the river!

The software is okay, but some major functions like table resizing, global waiting lists and themes are missing.
One good thing is, that you can log your hands with Pokertracker.

nice bonus

Posted Feb 12, 2008 by divljak

Very nice bonus. Ongame network started to improve a software. Nice support and maybe the fastest cash out in the poker industry. Pleyers are fishy.

nice bonus

Posted Feb 04, 2008 by push4ego

software:
-only 2 different window sizes
-bad filter function

bonus:
-i'd recommend at least nl50sh

competition:
-soft, but can only tell about nl50sh

Software works fine. Support works good. Points what you need to savvybonus is easy to make. I make those in limit tables (0,5/1). You can play with 4-5 tables at same time. Not so easy than Pokerroom but you earn more savvypoints in here. I recommend this

The software is bad, it doesn't work well if you are playing at four or more tables. Also, the players are bad.

Great value!

Posted Jan 24, 2008 by tormu

Only couple of hundred points more and I'll get 100$ from the 100% sign in bonus as well, so while playing sit 'n go's it was like having 100% rakeback or so :)
Great bonus at least for anyone playing tourneys, since Ongame has so many players.

Low Limit at Hollywood

Posted Jan 24, 2008 by maxiv

Played mostly 1-2 hol'dem 5player tables at Hollywood. The level of opponents was truly bad. Got almost 200 in less than hour from one guy who raised every pot preflop - no matter what he had.

The Bonus is not the easiest.
I play four weeks on NL25 and Multitabling.
It was a little bit hard to clear it but with the Bonus from Hollywood too it was a very profitable.

I like the Ongame Network is one of the best pokernetwork.
+ Many Players
+ Good Software
+ Very good Support

good bonus, bad software

I enjoyed playing at Hollywood Poker just because they have good bonus offers and savvy points are easy to clear. I had overplay windows when playing four tables, when you want to re-buy, you have to logout and click on cashier and you can miss next hand ... Hollywood Poker's Customer Service are very good and profesional !

My Hollywood Poker Review

Posted Jan 15, 2008 by juhamkoi

Hello,
This room wasn't as easy I thought it was going to be. Hollywood Points are accumulated more slowly on this site than others. If you are a loose player - there are many just like you to take money off on! The software looks good and it's easy to use. One downside to Hollywood is that you can't see your FPP's at the table - you have to log out and view it through your internet browser. Personally I didn't like that, but that's my opinion. I didn't have any problem with registration or deposit or withdrawals - everything worked fine.
I recommend this room to all!

Recommendable

Posted Jan 09, 2008 by Khali

The look of the software is horrible, but look is not everything and so is the software really good: multitabling, cascading and a fast software.
First i played NL $10, on this limit you need to play about 10k hands to achieve the bonus, after 2,000 hands I had the bankroll for NL $50 and on this limit the bonus is very fast to clear. Many tables and opponents on every limit at every time with weak players, so your bankroll will have a huge boost.
Easy bonus - absolutely recommendable.

Quiet hard to clear

Posted Jan 06, 2008 by SheriffWoo

That bonus is not the easiest pick for micro-limit-players, as you have to contribute in order to get points.

I really disliked the software, but that's a personal thing as I don't like non-resizable tables which is common in the OnGame Network.

Had to fight some days to clear the SavvyPoint requirements and had a bad run which cost me some dollars. Nevertheless, the hard effort was sweetened with 900 Points.

There are definitely easier bonuses to clear, but if you like to play min. $50 shorthanded, Hollywood Poker is definitely a good choice.

good bonus, bad software

Posted Jan 05, 2008 by morsken

The bonus clears quite fast in microstakes but the software is bad and slow. There are (like on all sites) plenty of fish to extract the money in microstakes.

Hollywood is Good!

Posted Jan 05, 2008 by baslotinna

I played Hold'em Poker on Hollywood. This bonus wasn't the easiest, since it requires a decent rake to earn FPPs. However, this is a great poker site with a lot of aggresive, weak players who like to bet and can't fold!. I took several bad beats, but when I added the Savvy Bonus and the Deposit bonus from Hollywood - I finished up a lot of money! Hurry up and get this bonus + savvy points!

Thanks

Posted Dec 25, 2007 by takikam

Hollywood has a very good sign up bonus! Easy to clear at NL50 fullring!

Great ongame site but problems with tracking

Best of Ongame

I really enjoyed playin in Holywood, it had some great celebrity bounty tournaments and the bonus was excellent. Players were bad and I made nice profit. Thanks Pokersavvy!

Fixed limit hold´em grinding

Posted Dec 16, 2007 by Afrikantähti

I played fixed limit holdem here at the blind levels of 0.5/1 and 1/2 (short and full). Hollywood Poker is a part of the Ongame-network.

Pros:
-Soft games in the evenings and nightime. Made profit here.
-Lot of players -> lot of tables to choose from

Cons:
-Software was annoying and table selection made ankward.

Summary: Software wasn´t the best but the most important thing, poor quality players, was there.

I enjoyed playing at Hollywood Poker. There was a good amount of player traffic and a lot of fish making this a very comfortable place to play. It was easy to clear PokerSavvy's bonus, it took me a few days playing four tables of $25 max buy-in no-limit Hold'em. I recommend this bonus, it's easy money!

This site was really nice to play at. I liked the graphics and the skill level of the other players was not that high. To achieve the bonus you have to pay a lot of rake, but once you get started you'll get there sooner than you think. Hollywood Poker has a professional image and although the bonus is hard to get, it pays to play there!

My Hollywood Poker Review!

Posted Nov 28, 2007 by Uunis

Honestly, I thought the Hollywood Poker software sucked. I didn't like it at all because, for example, when you need to buy-in for more chips at a cash table, you must sit-out and will probably miss a hand (or more if you are seated in the blinds.) When it comes to the lobby, it's slow and I personally don't like the waiting list system. But, the competition is VERY weak and that's why I gave them four stars.

My new favorite.

Posted Nov 20, 2007 by Turkman561

This was by far the best site I have ever played at. Softly said, the games are loose and the graphics are the best I've seen thus far. This is my new favorite site! Thanks!

Good poker room!

Posted Nov 20, 2007 by Fabmaszter

Hollywood Poker is on the OnGame Network along with sites like PokerRoom and uses the same software. So, there are always enough players and tables to play at. I would say that the skill level of the players there is low to average and you can make a good profit playing there. Earning the points to clear the bonus took me awhile, but maybe because of my the small stakes I was playing at. So, all in all a good poker room that is worth playing at.

I like the OnGame Network. It's the same network used by Prime Poker. Prime Poker was the first poker room I ever played at. They have lots of players from Finland. I like to play there, because I'm from Finland and there were lots of friends there. I lost $90 so it's not my all time favorite place. Their lobby was simple and easy to read. Players are very good at this site. It's nice when you get to play with some Hollywood star. Well, see ya' all at the tables. If you see me, come say hello!

My Hollywood Poker Review!

Posted Nov 15, 2007 by vilipoek

The OnGame software is pretty resource intensive and playing more than four tables at a time is not very good idea. If you only play one or two tables it should be no problem though. I made my deposit by Visa and I had to cash my money out by check. They didn't accept any other withdrawal methods like wire transfer, Moneybookers or NETeller, not even back to Visa unless it was for the amount of my initial deposit. Overall, the site is as good as any. There were no other problems.

Great bonus!

Posted Nov 14, 2007 by ChickenSnake

Hollywood Poker offers one of the easiest bonuses I've ever seen. I played $30 and $50 Sit'n'Goes and reached 1,200 Hollywood VIP Points in about 15 hours. You can play with "Celebs" if you want, but they play very tight, so you might be better off joining the fish that play in the Sit'n'Goes. All in all, I made about $800 in profit playing through the requirements of this bonus. My NETeller withdrawal took about three days to process, that might have been the only bad thing about Hollywood Poker.

Bad software, bad players, difficult bonus...

Posted Oct 19, 2007 by DjLex

First of all, I really dislike the software. The look of it is awful. With such big tables, I had overlay windows when playing four tables at once and they are not resizeble, you can only choose big or small table views. When the small-view is used you can't change any options, so this sucks. You have to switch to big-view again to change your options. Another disadvantage happens when you want to re-buy your stack to the max. You have to logout and click on cashier, so when you are too late you miss the next hand. Strange... A big advantage of this bonus are the players located at Hollywood Poker. The competition is bad. Lot of bad players that donk off their stacks with marginal hands. To get the PokerSavvy bonus you have to multi-table four tables for around 12 hours at the $0.15/$0.25 no-limit tables. So, it is not an easy bonus.

Part of the expanding OnGame Network, which includes sites such as PokerRoom and Mansion. They have good traffic and a variety of games. The games seem to have become softer with the influx of new players. They also have good software with good note taking facilities.

Cool!

Posted Sep 30, 2007 by Bonterosa

I like Hollywood Poker very much! This poker room belongs to the OnGame Network and that is why there are such good games, even at Texas Hold'em limit tables. The skill level of the players there varies a lot. You wont finish this bonus very quickly, so you have to be patient.

Hollywood Poker is great!

Posted Sep 20, 2007 by Arrowgiambi

I have played at a lot of poker rooms around the internet. Some are good, some are bad and some are great. Hollywood Poker is one of the great ones. Their software is smooth, the competition is very soft and the bonus is very easy to clear. Once cleared, PokerSavvy had credited my account with SavvyPoints within a few days. Great experience!

Hollywood Poker is okay...

Posted Sep 20, 2007 by Ercandize00

The Hollywood Poker software runs good and is well laid out. You can chose between no-limit, pot-limit and fixed-limit Hold'em, Seven Card Stud High or High/Low, pot-limit and fixed-limit Omaha High and High/Low and fixed-limit Five Card Draw. There are a lot of players at the cash game tables as well as in the tournaments. There are limits from small to big. The rake structure is like many other poker rooms... no flop, no drop. What's really great about Hollywood Poker is that they give partial VIP Points, so you earn points faster. On the whole, Hollywood Poker leaves a good impression. See you at the tables!

The PokerSavvy bonus, combined with the deposit bonus from Hollywood Poker, is really great. The players at OnGame are also not the best.

One of the best OnGame sites!

Posted Aug 20, 2007 by pokerpig

Hollywood belongs to the OnGame Network. Most of these sites only offer 10*PP bonuses. Here you only need to play 7PP per $1 of bonus, making this one special! The players there are very bad at the micro to low limit tables. Thanks, PokerSavvy!

I played for seven days at four $50 max buy-in no-limit full-ring tables for two hours per day. Their software is slower and has higher hardware requirements than most others.

Easy money, bad software...

Well, I cannot really complain since I won a lot of money at this site. But still, I didn't like the software, it crashed a few times. The support was strange, every time I spoke to a staff member I got different information. They didn't seem to know how they're own bonus system worked. I only played tournaments and Sit'n'Goes with a $5 buy-in. Like that, it took a couple of days to get the required points for the SavvyPoints bonus. But, I figured it would be the fastest way for me and it worked pretty well. Especially with their Turbo Sit'n'Goes and Mad-Tilt All-In's, which were quite interesting. I really didn't like the lack of filtering opportunities in their lobby!

Great support, I really like the mini-table view. The graphics are fine. Very loose, fishy place to play poker. I really like it!

What a nice place to play at, with an easy-to-clear big bonus for beginning poker players! Very nice software and a lot of fishes. Thanks to PokerSavvy for this nice bonus!

Very nice graphics and a great deposit bonus! You can get an iPod Nano! Also, you will get many SavvyPoints for this sign-up!

Good bonuses after your deposit bonus...

Hollywood Poker is probably the best OnGame site regarding ongoing bonuses. I have played not only the deposit bonus, but they have also sent me by email two good reload bonuses. Moreover, they have great happy hour bonuses where you receive extra money for top set or quads from Jacks to Aces. The money transfers have been okay. The point system and VIP levels do not give you that much. You should play at Hollywood Poker quite a bit, at least enough to get a free t-shirt, for example.

Great Design!

Hollywood Poker was a very good poker room, the software was very good, it didn't disconnect even one time. There where enough poker games to play and there was always some empty tables. Some players were loose and others played tight, so every game was different. Very nice to play here!

Too short tables?

I completed the Hollywood Poker PokerSavvy bonus playing only pot-limit Omaha $0.25/$0.25 tables, two to three tables at time. The Hollywood Points were quite easy to get, but tables tended to be too short-handed for my taste (5 players maximum.) When you are playing pot-limit Omaha with a relatively small bankroll, short-handed tables are quite challenging because of common outdraws. In addition to that, during the hours I played there were lots of Finnish players there, too. I dislike playing with Finns because I am one, but anyway... This is an easy bonus and you get lots of SavvyPoints! Now I finally get PokerTracker and PokerAce HUD. Thank you, PokerSavvy!

What I think Hollywood Poker...

Hollywood Poker is part of the OnGame Network and I have to say the same thing I've said about all OnGame sites. The client takes up a lot of
