We have detected that you are based in the United States. Unfortunately, due to the vague and uncertain legal and regulatory environment in the United States, PokerSavvy does not allow United States residents to sign up for SavvyPoints or rakeback offers at real money poker rooms. We regret that we need to do this and hope that the US government will soon clarify the law and create a framework that allows US-based poker players to play the game they love safely and openly. We encourage you to contact your Congressperson to express your view that poker is not, and should not, be illegal and we encourage you to support candidates at all levels that share that view.

In the meantime, we welcome you to check out PokerSavvy Plus, our poker training product that is fully accessible to United States residents. Thanks for your understanding.

Step 4: Choosing a Stake

Choosing the proper stake might be the area where most new players struggle the most.

When clearing bonuses on PokerSavvy - you need to focus on two important goals:

1) Playing a stake where you do not risk losing your entire bankroll
2) Playing a stake that lets you reach the bonus target as quickly as possible

Sit N' Go tournaments allow you to earn Frequent Player Points (FPPs, or VPPs) at the fastest rate among all low-stake games available, and help you clear your bonuses quickly. When selecting your stake, you normally don't want to buy into a game unless you have at least 20 times the buy-in in your bankroll to play the game. So, if you have $100, you would not want to buy into a game that has more than a $5 buy-in.

This is a basic protection for you - understand that some tournaments you will get unlucky and get knocked out, but you don't want losing one tournament to risk your entire bankroll.

For this first group of bonuses, we recommend:

If you have $100, $5 + $0.50 Sit N' Go's

If you have less, $2 + $0.20 Sit N' Go's
