Met de nog steeds groeiende poker boom en een nog grote populairiteit van online poker zijn er sites onstaan zoals bijvoorbeeld Sun Poker; een voorbeeld van de evolutie van de poker industrie. Dit is niet omdat Sun Poker zo innovatief bezig is maar efchter omdat het ondanks dat het een standaard site is het nog steeds een zeer geschikte en plezierige plek is om poker te spelen.

Game Selectie (Rated 6 out of 10)
De game selectie bij Sun is hier een goed voorbeeld van. Terwijl er een gebrek aan verbeelding is bij varieteiten die beschikbaar zijn, zijn er nog steeds voldoen opdoet voor de standaard poker speler. Er zijn verschillende cash game vormen zoals limtit, pot limit en no limit hold’em, 7 Card Stud , Omaha en genoeg een tafel sit-and-go’s en veel satteliet toernooien. Een uniek aspect van hun games is dat ze allemaal in verschillende valuta’s beschikbaar zijn zoals de US Dollar, de UK Pound en de Euro.
Terwijl de standaard online poker spelen Sun Poker wel voldoende zal vinden, zullen sommigen de keuze uit games iets te beperkt vinden. Degene die hier vooral last van zullen hebben zijn de spelers die graag hele lage limieten spelen of beginners zijn want de cash game limieten binnen her pas vanaf 25cent/50cent en qua toernooien zijn er amper freerolls of $1 inleg toernooien. Er zijn enkele keuzes voor high rollers met cash games zo hoog als 150/300 UK Pond aen redelijk vaak een toernooi met een hoge inleg. We moeten noteren dat er in 2007 verschillende $15.000 en hoger games beschikbaar komen. Een signaal dat Sun van plan is meer attentie te geven aan de whales. Het is wel jammer dat er bij Sun Poker bij de sit-and-go games alleen enkele tafel toernooien zijn en niet met meerdere tafels.

Kwaliteit van Spelers (Rated 7 out of 10)
De kwaliteit van de spelers bij Sun poker is redelijke divers, ze trekken een goed aantal spelers van een hoge standaard uit de hele wereld maar ze trekken ook veel zwakkere spelers aan. Dit is aan de ene kant, een kracht, doordat er een representatieve groep van tegenstanders is om tegen te pelen, wat ervoor zorgt dat er verschillende ‘gears’ nodig zijn in elke goede speler zijn spel om er bij te vlijben, en dan vooral voor iederen die van plan is om in een live toernooi te spelen waar je dit soort spelers ongetwijfdeld zult tegen komen.
Door de beschikbaarheid van games in verschillende valuta’s geeft je een unieke kans om jezelf te meten tegen een internationale keuze uit spelers waarvan de meeste uit Europa komen. Veel mesen vinden dit een leuke extra, speciaal de mensen onders ons die graag chatten, hoewel het niet de generale standaard van de spelers veranderd. Door de verschil in de kwaliteit tussen de spelers bij Sun zullen er voor zorgen dat je bankroll wat swings te verduren krijgt maar dat je je geluk kunt vervloeken in verschillende soorten talen.

Software (Rated 6 out of 10)
Software is een ander voorbeeld van een gebied waarvan ondanks dat ze ver van de top van deze industrie zitten, ze toch een hoog genoege standaard aanhouden zodat het geen problemen oplevert voor de gebruikers. Het download proces verloopt wat langzamer dan bij andere sites maar niet zo dat het klachten zal veroorzaken. De snelheid van de site zelf is voldoende. Er is simpelweg een gebrek aan extras en fantasie wat de site wat temin doet, er word niks aangboden buiten de standaarden van de industrie, met uitzonder van misschien de ‘log viewer’ die je laat zien in welke games je in het verleden hebt gespeeld.
Er moet echter gezegd worden dat ondanks het gebrek aan iets exceptioneels het niet betekent dat Sun Poker geen goede poker room is om op te spelen. Online help, toernooi en spelers informatie, zowel als de cashier beveiling en opties, zijn industrie standaard en daarom zo goed als nodig is.In de game play is het ook zo, en met goed georganiseerde toernooien, efficiente en goed werkende game-play en geen grote fouten. Er is ook een toegevoegde bonus / massieve irritatie van een automatische commentator die hulpvolle dingen zegt zoals “dealing flop” of “your turn!”. Voor iedereen die liever niet zijn computer uit het dicht bijzijnste raam gooit word de mute button geadviseerd.

Graphics (Rated 6 out of 10)
Graphics bij Sun Poker zijn van een vergelijkbare standaard als de rest van de dingen hier, dat betekent dat ze goed genoeg zijn maar niet spectaculair. Het generale thema van poker in een tropische setting is redelijk om naar te kijken, hoewel het wat simpel oogt. Het ziet er meer uit als de binnenkant van een mens als dat van een Caribbean strand hut. De main interface is bruikbaar en simplistisch, hoewel wat van zijn kleuren, en dan vooral het felle geel dat gebruikt wordt, kan soms wat bleek worden en dit kan op een probleem worden op de wat slechter beeldschermen.
De in-game graphics hebben ook een tropische look, met bijvoorbeeld bamboo tafeltjes en stoelen. Dit is een halve poging om wat atmosfeer te creëren en hoewel dit is realistisch is, is het ook wat saai. We wachten met smart op een virutale cocktail bediende in een bikini. Nogmaals, dit wil niet zeggen dat de site minder speelbaard is dan een gemiddelde site omdat de actie en verschillende details van spel, zoals de chips en kaarten goed zichtbaar zijn. Er als ook een goede keuze uit tabel opties zoals de mogelijkheid om de kleur van het deck te veranderen, de actie knoppen te re-organizeren en de chat mogelijkheden te manipuleren.

Sun Poker is over het algemeen een relatief winstgevende online poker room om op te spelen. Dit is voornamelijk door hun grote bonussen in plaats van makkelijke tegenstanders en goede sppel opties.100% tot $50 op de eerste storting is fantastisch voor iedereen die waarschijnlijk $50 wil storten maar het is de altijd doorgaande extra bonus van $40 per 250 raked hands die zo speciaal is. Deze bonussen maken Sun winstgevend voor de meeste spelers, ondanks de kwaliteit van de tegenstanders.
De gemiddelde game kan een moeilijke plaats zijn om aan stortingen en bonussen te werken omdat er een gevaarlijke mix is van zwakke en goede spelers. Het is bijvoorbeeld gemakkelijk om in de gewoonte te komen dat je postie en je chip stack gebruikt om de zwakkere spelers te overdonderen en dan onwetend in een val van hen een van de betere spelers loopt. Nu dat gezegd is, elke poker tafel in de echte wereld zal een mix bevatten van sharks en vissen dus is het gewoon het beste om te leren zwemmen met beide.

Too few players, only a handful at limit holdem tables - and the points accumulate quite slow. Savvy points came within 24 hrs after completing the site.

This is another Cryptologic Network poker site. You will earn 850 SavvyPoints after getting 750 Sun "My Poker" Points. You will also earn $150 from their deposit bonus at the same time you complete the SavvyPoints bonus. On top of everything you will get an invite to a $10,000 new players freeroll, so all in all this is a good promotion. Player traffic at this site could be better, especially in the fixed-limit games, it can be bit quiet there at times.

This is the toughest PokerSavvy promotion at the Cryptologic Network. It took me 6,000 hands at $50 max buy-in no-limit games to clear. But, the reward is juicy: $150 deposit bonus and 850 SavvyPoints. I lost about half of this bonus at the tables since I ran pretty bad, but that's poker. There are always bonuses to compensate for the bad beats!

Sun Poker is definitely one of the hardest places to get SavvyPoints from, at least of the ones I've played. I was really frustrated at times because the points were coming so slowly (playing mostly $50 max buy-in shorthanded.) Nevertheless, I held my head up high and was determined to finish and get the 750 points. If you start at Sun Poker, be sure to do so at the start of the month, as the sign-up bonus expires at the end of each month. I didn't realize this and had only a weeks time to clear 1,000 points, which was impossible for me. A few words about the competition... Look for the loose tables and you'll end up earning a lot of cash during your stay here. I got my SavvyPoints in under 36 hours from completion. Thanks!

The Sun Poker bonus was a relatively easy job, even though I play in micro stakes (mainly no-limit Hold'em with a $25 max buy-in.) The offer is generous, in addition to the SavvyPoints bonus a decent sign-up bonus is offered. Playing a few hours per day, it took me about a week to clear the bonus. The only problem was the low amount of player traffic on the network, but by also playing some Omaha I could find just enough tables to fill my screen.

The Sun Poker promo takes some time to complete. It took me about 20 hours of playing four $150 or $100 max buy-in no-limit Hold'em tables. The software at Sun Poker is just average, without an option to change table size. Customer support is helpful and flexible, but a little bit slow.

It takes a long time to clear this bonus playing $50 max buy-in no-limit Hold'em, and even at $100 max buy-in. Their huge tables are not resizable.

Like all Cryptologic Network poker rooms, it is difficult to find full ring games. However, the 6-handed low stakes tables are pretty soft, depending on the time and day of the week. The required 750 MyPokerPoints take a while to earn at $25 or $50 max buy-in no-limit, but playing the lowest limits will make you good money all by itself. Cashing out is fast and reliable. The software worked well for me but some people complained about server crashes.

I enjoyed the fast play and that was about it. The play was varied but the biggest letdown is that there are never very many players on the site at the same time. This cancels most of the tourneys. Also tried to email support about a possible collusion while playing and they never ever replied to me so that turned my goal into getting the reward and then quickly cashing out.

Sun Poker has a great variety of players.
Even though the graphics are not the best, I have seen they are smooth and fun to look at.
I myself play no-limit $.15/.25-$.25/.50 and at those tables there are plenty of fish.
I can recommend this poker site to anyone , any day, anywhere. One of the best sites there are.

I didn't like that poker room because it's slow and i like things that go fast.
The cashout is not made for Europeans so u have to pay to change dollars to euro, and it's not that easy to get the required points (though if you play limit hl you can do it with a bit of patience)
graphics look oldish but are playable

I love the Crypto sites and have added Sun to my stable of regular sites. I found the bonus very easy to clear (I play 1/2 and 2/4 Limit) and the competition to be VERY soft if you're patient and take time to get to know your table.
They also have a monthly $40 bonus for 250 MPPs, with no redeposit needed, so I'm keeping it in my list of sites I regularly play.

I had a little difficulty clearing the requirements for this poker room. What I mean by that is that I probably lost about 15-20 dollars attaining the required points for SavvyPoints. I really seemed to get a lot of bad beats on this site. I am quite sure that my experiences can be explained by bad luck and Sun Poker is a decent poker room. I still came out ahead by playing the site and donaˆ™t regret it one bit.

Well Sun Poker has nice bonuses that were easy to clear with lots of players. I would have given 5 stars but gave only 3 because for some reason people from my country (Finland) can't receive the first deposit bonus on Sun Poker. And that sucks!

Basic cryptologic network place. Good mtt games and small (0,5-1) NL ring games. It is easy to find a table and there are always at least couple of tables open. Sometimes very tight and you need to really know how to play against each player. I think there were a lot of weak-tight players. Bonus is worse, because I didn`t get it because of my home country... :/ Poker manager only can offer it after playing 30 days there.
