To activate a sign-up bonus you need to enter the bonus code when entering the Betfair Poker Room the very first time. If you do not enter the bonus code at this time contact Customer Service within 7 days who will provide you with another code to allow you to take advantage of the promotion. No Player Points earned before the bonus is triggered will count toward the promotion. The chosen sign-up bonus is activated in the players bonus account. $50 Bonus: Opt-in code WELCOME50. The bonus is earned by accumulating Player Points; for every 40 Player Points earned Betfair will release $5 from your bonus account into your real money account. Once the bonus is triggered you have 90 days to earn the full bonus.

Player Points are earned by all players simply by playing real-money cash games and tournaments. The Player Points will be distributed by the Essence model which takes into account contributed rake to each pot, style of play and, among other things, distributes more points for playing against tougher opposition, and fewer points to those who systematically play the less experienced.
