First Post

This is my first blog post so I guess I should start off by introducing myself. My name is Isaac Haxton. I grew up in Syracuse, NY. I currently live in Providence, RI and am a senior at Brown. I'll be moving to Vegas as soon as I graduate. When I'm not playing poker I spend most of the rest of my time playing other games, discussing poker with my roommates and on the twoplustwo (and now pokersavvyplus!) forums, cooking, and watching tv. Occasionally I have to attend to the necessities of passing my classes, reading books, writing papers, and so forth, but I try not to let it get in the way too much.

I'm really excited to be joining the PokerSavvy team. I've always enjoyed teaching and I've always been a big advocate of learning by teaching, so I'm expecting to have a lot of fun and help my own game by making these videos. I'm really pleased to see all of the positive feedback on my first two videos in the forums. It feels good to know that people are finding them interesting and useful. Keep the feedback coming and let me know what you want to see more of and what I can do better. I think my next couple videos are going to be some more full ring and maybe some tournaments.

"The Math"

Hey Isaac I am a huge fan and am really pleased to c u joined the savvy team. I was just wondering if 4 1 of ur sessions u could delve really deeply into the math side of poker and try to simplify concepts such as ICM and +ev decision making, and other math equations,as although me and my friends have a small and thin grasp of the concepts it would be so helpful 4 u 2 walk us through it. Obv i understand if u cant as im sure everyone is begging u to do vids on stuff they wanna c but any help would be gr8ly appreciated.

Thanks v much bigjimmylea1

PS loved ur first 2 vids.

I agree with bigjimmylea1. It would be great to have the math side discussed in detail during a vid.

Keep them coming.
