Seems like part 2 was cut short at 23 minutes. Well before I think it was supposed to?

ok...great content as always man.
however..i would like a third installment.
the most important thing that you are leaving out of this series is....when we take bad beats or suffer big swings....the effect that THIS has on our opponents and how they play against us in the hands after such variance.
i see alot of people playing differently against me after i've suffered large variance swings....either they think im tilting or they are trying to lean on me or whatever it may be...
this is something that i think deserves a third video on this topic
i.e. what im getting at is.....how our opponents see us after we suffer variance...and how they might play differently against us because of it.
they might think we are on tilt, and if we pick up AQs and raise UTG...assume we are tilting cuz we just lost a big pot with aces in the big blind the hand before, for a loose example....i know it is becoming very multi-level...but it something i experience a lot...how do opponents judge our variance? even if we are able to control our emotions and get right back on track...maybe they don't know we are that good at controlling our emotions? so they play us differently because of that...i know i rambled a lot but its hard to put into words

the common theme when someone looses a big pot is that they must be tilting in some way....in some way, they have to be playing a little bit less optimally...
this is generally how the fish think in my experience
so how do we deal with this....it becomes very multilevel sometimes

I just played sng, there were 7 limpers and me in BB,holding cowboys;)game just started and b-20,i tank and raise to 190,to isolate one fish, and 1 before last calles for 170 more...flop is 2TQd,and pot is 500,i have wrong kings and pot it,and guy shove on me,i had 770 left,so there wasnt much to think...i expect to see some FD,instead he showed proudly Q2o and said,no mess w me...next i shove w QQ and guy called instant and shows A7o...flop is 775r:(dont need to say i brick both times...i am interested how to kick asses from such donkeys where i am dominating them so hard, and they flop miracolous things, not so long ago i play a session hour and half perhapse, some 15 sng,and i lost 9,10 all w KK vs T8o,AA vs 33,AK vs Ax like 4,5 times,QQ vs 22,so insane that i went and complaine to network(merge)how can i suffer so many bad beats in such short period??i know that money comes from such players mostly, but still,i will never prob feel so comfortable losing w aces from PP esspecially, having him crushed pre...and i hear prob 1 of better explenations;i play small stakes sng up to 5$,so ppl playes most weird things,so on river, they come and show this monsters like q2o,A7o:)thanks for video, good luck at tables:)

Thanks again. I looked foward this part of the series as have tought the topic a lot during my MBA studies. Indeed western part of the world built on newtonial world view has impacted us a lot. I has shaped our way to think about things, see the world. I hold master degree in chemistry and am engineer. When I think time I studied we had major focus on technology, concepts and we lacked completely selfawareness, people management, all aspect vital to succesfully perform as a part of the organization. It was then more question of luck, each persons own personality, how well they managed to survive at work. I saw sad stories in the first years of my work career when some rather young people, old too, could not handle the pressure at work or balance they work-life. Some where fired when found unsuitable to work in the organisation. I strongly believe having involved into, for example selfawareness schoolings would have helped many very clefer persons to make a great career and manage themselves.
I have succeed rather well in the worklife, but admit the beginning was not that easy. Despite, in poker you can not say the same. I have not put much effort to prevent tilting or connecting selfawareness to my pokerstudies. I have again had strong focus on tech. like I have got used to all the way from the day I borned.
During MBA in UK i have been forced to focus on selfawareness and it has helped a lot to gain insigth what drives me, what I want, what is motivating me ect. For example I have found that money has major importance for me. Money has been topic to discuss commonly in my family and I believe it comes from there. It has it positive consequencies like I am pretty good at planning and control my household and have very healthy attitude to debt for example (perhaps a bit too risk shun). However, negative side is the fear of losing money. As money is motivating me a lot for example at work and has a major share in my toughts it is my weak point in poker. I think I can never change the fact it is so important and that I am meticulous, I have to learn to live with it.
This video serie part helped me to notice the share of the soft issues in my poker development. It indeed waked me up. I do not yet know how I will exactly start develop myself in this respect and need to analyze the details more still. However, will carefully look again the part 2 and then consider actions will take. Understanding variance has already helped me in this respect. However, I need to remind myself still about it often as old view from the left side of the brain comes to disturb.

I got in to meditation and being in a present moment 6 month ago just because i felt the negative effect poker start making on my life . The results are amazing !!! I am able to concentrate for a hole session , tilt does not bother me wile i am playing (in worst case for a few seconds) and even after biggest losses i able to enjoy my life wile i am not playing!!! I highly recommend work on your level of awareness - it will make all the difference in the world !

Interesting. Could you describe more in details what you did / do in practice? T
