Great serie. I have now watched 4 episodes. I have also tried to follow recommendations given to take learning actions. First area I focused was to define opponent preflop ranges. This has been the focus in my latest sessions. One benefit I already gained from this is that it forces me to take more time before the decision. This is good as I have got used to make decisions perhaps bit too fast. In EU sites you also need to when at ongame time bank not available. Now Fulltilt this is better possible, but I need to focus include deeper analysis to my play before action. This is below hand is one example where I feel forced new behaviour enable to get most value from the opponents. I do not know whether you would have played same way, but for me most important was that I stoped to consider ranges again on the flop and adjusted my action based on those the best I can:
Full Tilt - $0.50 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
MP Villain: 7/0 (14 hands)
BTN Villain: 23/14, 3 B: 2% (154 hands)
MP: $50.20
Hero (CO): $49.75
BTN: $102.45
SB: $69.55
BB: $66.35
UTG: $34.60
SB posts SB $0.25, BB posts BB $0.50
Pre Flop: ($0.75) Hero has

fold, MP raises to $1.75, Hero raises to $6.00, BTN calls $6.00, fold, fold, MP calls $4.25
Flop: ($18.75, 3 players)

MP checks, Hero checks, BTN bets $10.00, fold, Hero calls $10.00
Turn: ($38.75, 2 players)
Hero checks, BTN checks
River: ($38.75, 2 players)
Kd
Hero bets $33.75 and is all-in, BTN calls $33.75
BTN insta cold call I put mainly on 99,TT, JJ, perhaps QQ. Also AK possible, but I think he might have considered more before calling (I know time tells should not be considered too much, but this guy insta cold called) and I had 2 blockers to A. MP harder to say without history, but based on action pre, I removed AA, KK from his range, AK possible, again A removes possibilities, KQs might call here. I saw him having the weakest range here based on action pre.
On the flop I ended checking because felt BTN might take a stab if having a range 99-QQ. I thought would then get more information about MP player hand. After he folded I was pretty sure have the best hand. Unfortunately A falled on turn. On the river I felt all in the best as smaller bet might feel at least as strong as all in. I believed he can not get away from JJ, QQ and he did not.
I will continue having focus this week on the defining of preflop ranges. Next week focus will be on betsizing.
