Video Download FAQs

What types of downloads do you offer? Videos can be downloaded as high quality MOV files and/or WMV files. We are in the process of moving to WMV files as the standard download format. Right now some are in MOV format and others are in WMV format. Many single table videos can also be downloaded as MP4 files for your iPod.

How do I download and watch an MOV file? You can play MOV files in the Quicktime Player or in a universal media player like the GOM player. Both are free. Get Quicktime here. Get the GOM player here. You can also play MOV files in iTunes or in your Firefox or IE web browser (even if offline). For best results, use Quicktime.

Why do some videos have iPod compatible downloads, but others do not? Currently, we only have iPod download links for 1 table videos. Otherwise, the action would be difficult to see. For now, iPod videos are limited to 1 table / theory videos.

How can I play WMV files if I dont have Windows Media Player? There are many 3rd party programs that allow you to play our files. We recommend GOM player (www.gomplayer.com). This software is free.

Do you require DRM? No. We believe you should be able to watch videos on a plane, on your iPod, or anytime you're not online.

What restrictions are there on video downloads? In order to prevent download abuse, members in the free trial period are limited to a total of 3 downloads per week (regardless of which file type you download). Paying members can download up to 30 videos per week.

Why isn't there a download option for the video I am viewing? Right now, many videos are being released with the download options. We are working hard to add this feature for the videos in our existing library as well. Over time we expect to have about 90% of our videos available for download. It will not be possible to offer downloads for certain videos for various reasons.

Can I rename the Video before downloading? Yes! Right-Click the download link and choose "save link as" or "save file as" and you can rename the video whatever you like.
