Daily Poker Quiz: Big Stack with Rags, on the Bubble

5 Reviews (Login to Write a Review)

pokertable

The Situation: $50 SNG, 4 players remain and top 3 get paid. Blinds are 200/400. You are the chip leader at the table with 6500 in chips. Your opponents all have around 2300 in chips.
The action is on you with the AdAh. If you raise you are pretty much committed to calling an all in. Do you try to steal the blinds and take advantage of the bubble or are you content to fold and wait?

Although usualy when the bubble appears it is easy to take the blinds when chipleader, however you know if they reraise you they will definatley have a decentish hand.
No point sacrificing your lead by stealing the blinds with junk. If they hadnt got as many chips and you could get away from the hand without being commited then definitely steal but on htis occasion wait for a better hand.

I would fold, there are three more players to go, your position for a raise is not the best one and the chance that someone got a nice hand is too high. If someone would go all in or call your chances would be definitely not good with this hand.

you guys are obviously not familiar with bubble play.
because their stacks are so similar, none wants to take a risk of going out. With the blinds this high, you have a easy decision in trying to steal them. None of them will be able to call without a very strong hand.

not much info given... fold or raise???? depends on what kind of players I'm against to, does it seem like they don't wanna be a bubble...

As chip leader, why risk chips on a group 9 hand. Wait for better pocket cards.
