Summary (Rated 8 out of 10)
PokerKings is part of the Boss Media Network which was once known for its large base of loose, hot-headed players from southern Europe. Although the games have dried up a bit from those days, the Boss Media Network still offers a great variety of different poker formats and action can be found at all stakes during any time of the day. Lots of multi-table tournaments with guaranteed prize pools and Sit’n’Goes are available for tournament players. Multi-currency tables are available but your primary account is in Euros, therefore you have no risk of losing money due to exchange rate fluctuations (unless your own national currency is something other than the Euro, of course.)

Game Selection (Rated 8 out of 10)
One of the best features of the Boss Media Network is the huge variety of games offered. You can easily find suitable games from micro-limits to the higher stakes in both cash games and tournaments. A lot of special tournaments with guaranteed prize pools are offered daily and on Sundays you can find the $100k and $250k guaranteed tournaments. There is activity throughout all hours of the day and the peak hours are usually have around 8,000 to 10,000 simultaneous players. PokerKings is suitable for all kinds of poker players from cash game specialists to Sit’n’Go wizards.

Quality of Players (Rated 5 out of 10)
It’s a mixed bag when it comes to the quality of players at PokerKings. During the daytime the tables are often filled with pretty solid players, but during evenings and especially during weekends the action can get pretty wild and loose. The action at the USD tables is generally a lot softer than that found at the Euro tables, so if you wish to find an easy game head for the USD tables. For anyone wanting to maximize their profits I would recommend playing during the heavily trafficked peak hours only.

Software (Rated 9 out of 10)
The first impression given by the PokerKings software is impressive. All of the important sections in the lobby can be easily located and you can also use the ‘Quick Play’ function to get into the action right away. The software has a functional waiting list system and all of the important information regarding the tables, such as average pot size and hands per hour, is available to you when browsing the lobby. The general feeling of the software is that it is very light and functional. Playing at a table is easy and all the action buttons can be found in logically arranged locations. The software also sports the always useful bet-pot buttons to make betting a snap. Unfortunately, the bet-pot buttons are not available when using the mini-view table layout. Note that the downloadable PokerKings software is only available for PC users.

Graphics (Rated 10 out of 10)
The dark mixture of purple, black and blue used for the table background and felt offers an atmospheric feeling, but most importantly makes all the important events at the table stand out in contrast. The mini-view table design is easily one of the best that I have ever seen. Previous actions for each player are even color-coded to help you follow the action. For example, calling a bet is indicated by a yellow signal while a raise is indicated with a red signal. Overall, the design of PokerKing’s software pleases the eye and is very functional.

Profitability (Rated 10 out of 10)
The SavvyPoints bonus offer for PokerKings has some great value to it. In addition to the SavvyPoints you’ll earn, you can also take advantage of the deposit bonus which is released in small increments as you play. You get 1 Frequent Player Point (FPP) whenever at least €0.25 is raked from the pot and you have contributed to the pot by placing a blind or making a bet. In tournaments you are awarded 4 FPPs for every €1 paid in fees. If you wish to complete this sign-up quickly by playing cash games, I wouldn’t recommend playing any lower than at the €50 max buy-in tables. You’ll notice there is a great difference in how fast you’ll accumulate FPPs between Euro and USD tables. Don’t get me wrong, you’ll still earn FPPs in the $50 max buy-in games, but if you play at the Euro tables it speeds up the completion of this bonus dramatically. Overall I would describe this SavvyPoints bonus as a quick and valuable one worth checking out. I can easily recommend this to anyone comfortable with playing at the €50 max buy-in tables or above!
