We have detected that you are based in the United States. Unfortunately, due to the vague and uncertain legal and regulatory environment in the United States, PokerSavvy does not allow United States residents to sign up for SavvyPoints or rakeback offers at real money poker rooms. We regret that we need to do this and hope that the US government will soon clarify the law and create a framework that allows US-based poker players to play the game they love safely and openly. We encourage you to contact your Congressperson to express your view that poker is not, and should not, be illegal and we encourage you to support candidates at all levels that share that view.

In the meantime, we welcome you to check out PokerSavvy Plus, our poker training product that is fully accessible to United States residents. Thanks for your understanding.

Summary (Rated 8 out of 10)

PokerWorld is now part of the Cake Poker Network, giving them a huge jump in traffic along with increased visibility. They offer a generous 110% First Deposit Bonus up to $600 and they still allow players from the USA. The software at PokerWorld is top notch and with the new influx of additional player traffic they can be considered one of the top contenders in the world of poker!

Game Selection (Rated 8 out of 10)

At PokerWorld, you can play all the usual varieties of poker including Limit, Pot-Limit and No-Limit Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7-Card Stud, and Stud Hi/Lo. There is a wide range of table stakes available starting at $0.02/$0.04, all the way up to the highest stakes tables which feature a $500/$1000 betting structure.

As for tournaments, PokerWorld is not too shabby in that area either. If you don't like waiting for your tournaments to start the Sit'n'Goes seem to fill to capacity fairly quickly at the smaller stakes. As for guaranteed tournaments, PokerWorld offers over $5 million per month in guarantees! That includes the daily $10,000 and $25,000 tournaments, a weekly $100,000 tournament and a $250,000 guaranteed tournament every month.

Quality of Players (Rated 6 out of 10)

The competition at PokerWorld is generally loose and aggressive. The players at PokerWorld aren't necessarily bad, but many of them tend to show signs of being inexperienced making this room a great place to rake in some big pots if you know a thing or two about poker. Even though you will find a few sharks at PokerWorld, this is still an ideal poker room for those who are still just learning how to play. Just be sure to stick to the low-stakes games since the more skilled players tend to avoid those games.

Software (Rated 8 out of 10)

The PokerWorld software looks excellent and runs superbly. The lobby is easy to navigate, you can access tournaments and games with ease. Players in the lobby can also stay in touch with other players with live lobby chat. This feature definitely helps to develop the sense of community you'll start to feel after becoming a regular at PokerWorld.

The support offered at PokerWorld is friendly and efficient. They responded to our emails in less than 30 minutes, even during peak hours, and always resolved any issues or problems to our satisfaction.

Graphics (Rated 8 out of 10)

The graphics used by PokerWorld aren't very flashy, but the software is fast and provides players with a lot of functionality. When you put it all together PokerWorld comes out as being just above average when it comes to graphics. Players are represented by various pictures depicting men and women sitting at the table and can be switched off if you prefer to hide player avatars. You can also select from 6 different deck designs if the default card graphics don't suit your fancy.

Profitability (Rated 8 out of 10)

PokerWorld rewards players with Frequent Player Points (FPPs) and Gold Chips. Players earn FPPs by playing in any real money games. Once you earn enough FPPs you will be rewarded with a Gold Chip. The more Gold Chips you amass in a month, the easier subsequent Gold Chips will be to earn. Gold Chips can be used to buy into tournaments or to purchase merchandise from the PokerWorld Mall. In addition to these programs PokerWorld offers a generous deposit bonus and a bunch of different tournament promotions that make this a great place to build your bankroll!

Poker world review

Posted Mar 30, 2010 by daiku

I finished my Pokersavvy 1 year access bonus on this site.It took about 7000 hands at 50nl. First I will just say the software on this site is not really very good. I had several disconnect problems and although I reconnected within 20 seconds I was already sitting out and the hand I would be involved in was done and I had been auto folded if involved in the pot. It only happened a couple times when in the pot which were not big either time. I just thought for the amount of disconnects there should have been a little more time to get back in the hand. That is really the only bad thing I can say about the site. I thought the sign up bonus and requirements were very generous and the 33% rakeback is also very good. The rake was 5% for cash games with standard capping and I noticed many of the SNGs were less than 10% fees. On top of the rakeback they also have gold coins and gold cards that you can earn and win respectively. I dont really know the value here but something is better than nothing. They look like they are used for tourney buyins. I would say this is the best site I have played on for a player that plays a low volume of hands to still be given a good bonus. The traffic seemed to be highest in the North American evening or weekends. The play was also the loosest and craziest at these times. Any other time I played it seemed very Taggy. There were a lot of short stackers on the site for those who dont like them. I myself dont care too much so it didnt bother me. So in a nutshell the play on the site is soft the rewards are very good but the software is a little glitchy.
