Lately poker has been goin absolutely great. It's nice after a long breakeven stretch to go on a big upswing to end the summer. I dropped down to 10/20 like 3-4 weeks ago to rebuild some, but I have been winning so much that I am back up to 25/50 and even higher at times if the games are good. I was having a great night tonight until I ran a monster bluff that failed miserably. Here it is:

OOPS? I figured he'd fold any non king, but call the rest. In retrospect, I think he checks jj, QQ a lot on flop but also check calls Qx a ton too and my play is pretty spewy. The turn is obviously a bet but once he calls his range is pretty much Kx AA, and occasionally QQ JJ whatever. Usually I'd give up on riv but this time I decided to pull the trigger. Obviously I was wrong. I also made a nice valuebet that I don't usually make, vs Ike:

That one is rather complicated, but the gist of it is that I expected him to hero call a lot on that board, though obviously I get snap called by any spade too. It also really helps for metagame to show a regular that I can bet there.

In other news, I am really looking forward to the upcoming WCOOP. It's pretty much the premier tournament series of the year on any site, and there is a lot of high stakes action this year. With a 10k, 5k, and 25k, there should be plenty of opportunities for a big score.

On the car front, I test drove a BMW 335xi coupe the other day, and it was incredible. I barely was putting any weight on the accelerator and it would fly. I can't even imagine what an m3 or m5 would be like after trying what is essentially only 1 step down from it. I think I am going to wait until after WPT Borgata and WCOOP to make a decision on a car though, as I will likely be spending over 60k in buy ins in that time, so I could potentially hit a big down or upswing.
