Sammanfattning (Rated 8 out of 10)

One of the relative elder statesmen in the online poker world, Paradise Poker remains one of the industry’s big players and it’s not hard to see why. Besides a few moderate flaws, the comprehensive games selection, comfortable and enjoyable playing atmosphere, and some highly competitive play make Paradise somewhat of a purist’s poker room. Don’t expect to make big money here though, as you may well be pitting yourself against some of the best online players around.

Välja Spel (Rated 9 out of 10)

Paradise Poker’s biggest asset, one which is seldom rivaled elsewhere, is its vast game selection, with almost every game and player thoroughly considered. Cash games are particularly strong, offering a near complete choice of games, as well as providing options for low and high limit players alike. Limit, pot limit, and no limit hold’em, Omaha and 7-card stud (including their Ho/Lo variants), 5-card draw and stud, and Pineapple are all available in stakes ranging from micro-limit 1c/2c to high-limit $40/$80. Tournament play is similarly versatile, although perhaps not quite as thorough in its accommodation across the board. Scheduled games are excellent, offering an array of buy-ins from $1 to $1000 and, within that, offering variations in payout structures and player limits. Satellite choices are extremely good, including several to the WSOP, though there is a lack of freerolls which will leave many players without their favorite buy-in option. Another oversight is the surprising limitations placed on sit-and-go games, both in terms of buy-in and size. Despite the vast number of games at any given time, they are limited to heads-up or one table action, as well as only going as low as $5. Lower bankroll players who enjoy the chance of slightly increased payouts at two, three, or four table tournaments will therefore be left out.

Nivå på Spelarna (Rated 9 out of 10)

Its status as one of the oldest and most established poker rooms on the market, as well as the various other strengths of the site, means that Paradise Poker maintains not just a high level of player quality but also quantity. Aside from the odd exception, most tables will offer some strong competition making it difficult to consistently win and make a profit but it will keep your game very well honed. Use Paradise to sharpen your skills and hunt for fish elsewhere. At the higher stakes tables on Paradise you are likely to find some of the best online players out there, which is again - if you can afford it – a great opportunity to take your game to the next level. This applies to each of the disciplines, whether hold’em, stud, or Omaha, though the are some softer spots at the 5-card draw tables which, due to the unsuitability of the game to online play, will often feature players who are there out of curiosity and have little clue on how to behave, leaving them very susceptible to a big hand.

Software (Rated 7 out of 10)

For a site with such pedigree and know-how in most other ways it is very surprising that Paradise Poker’s software isn’t quite up to the standard of many other inferior sites. Download and setup are quick and easy, while maneuvering around the main lobby is generally pretty smooth, but there are some nagging flaws. Things like clicking on a certain table, say for instance a $0.50/$1 NL table, and somehow being relocated to a 25c/50c limit table can get a little irritating. The variety of options available is also perhaps limited in comparison to some, although they do have very good internet support and the basics are all there, such as the ‘find a friend’ capability. In-game play is, surprisingly, quite glitchy, lacking the smoothness and playability which you would expect. These problems are largely minor, for example some general slowness in reacting to bets, dispersing chips, and showing/mucking cards. This doesn’t interfere with play to a great degree but can leave the edge of your seat a bit worn as you wait several seconds after the final round of betting to discover if you are bust or booming. Also, the raising mechanism is quite awkward, as well as there being fewer pre-select action buttons, again slowing play down a touch. One plus point is that, for those who don’t normally have their computer muted, the sound quality is top notch.

Grafik (Rated 8 out of 10)

In terms of graphics, Paradise Poker is an extremely attractive and fun site to play on, if at times sacrificing some practicality in the process. The general tropical island theme is colorful and convincing with sharp, clean animation, especially when compared to other sites with a similar theme such as Sun Poker. The main interface is fairly navigable, with all the important options easily locatable, though the organization of games under each central heading is a little confusing, as well as having no tournament lobbies where information on opponents or prize structures would typically be found. Graphics during game play are pretty much in line with this, creating a very comfortable and pleasant playing atmosphere if a small degree inattentive to usability. There is the general allusion to a classy high-end casino game through the detail on the table, the gold action buttons and name plates, even down to the type font on each table. While this is a very effective look, there are some issues with actual play, such as no indication as to betting amounts until it is your turn. The cards are also somewhat smaller than those in other poker rooms, which may not seem like a problem but is a very noticeable detraction when going back to play in those other rooms after being at Paradise.

Lönsamhet (Rated 4 out of 10)

Some sites become profitable due to generous bonuses and an array of promotions, while other sites become profitable thanks to the number of opponents seemingly willing to hand over their cash. Unfortunately for Paradise, neither of these things exist here. Their bonus is well below average and, on top of that, it is pretty tough to get released. The standard of player on Paradise Poker will then further make profitability hard to accomplish, especially when combined with the lack of extra leeway afforded by that initial bankroll. As with any site that has a higher standard of player a more long-term approach toward making money is required. While Paradise may not be the place to make your millions, it may just be the place to build a strong enough foundation in your game so as make that shot at your first million somewhat realistic.

Lots of players, difficult to acheive points

Posted Apr 19, 2008 by jugadorjavier

As long as you are playing during peak times Paradise has plenty of games going. However, the points we difficult to earn. I played mostly 1/2 limit and it took probably 24 hours of playing time 4 tabling.

Ok, not great

Posted Apr 16, 2008 by Vian9721

The pokersavvy bonus is pretty easy to clear, but the paradise bonus can be difficult at $50 NL. The opponents are average, the software sucks.

This is a nice bonus but it's not so easy to clear in the small limits. The software is good except that you can't resize the windows, which makes multitabling a bit harder.

Paradise Poker

Posted Mar 31, 2008 by Dsdnv

Paradise poker is one of the first online poker sites I ever heard of. Back in the day it was independent network, but recently it joined Boss Media network which is one of the fastest growing poker networks online.

The network differs from all other major poker networks as it's the only network that allows you to play in multiple currencies. There are tables and tourneys in GBP, USD, Euro and even Turkish lira. It doesn't matter what currency your account is, you can still play in any table as your cash is automatically exchanged. When you leave table your chips get exchanged at same rate you bought them in the first place, so you won't lose money if rates vary while you play.

The amount of players on the site is somewhat low compared to the biggest networks (stars, fulltilt, ipoker, ongame) but you can definetely find yourself a game at any stake level pretty much any time. From my experience I can say that the games are somewhat softer than on many other sites.

As a conclusion I can say that Paradise poker is a nice site which will most likely get even nicer as the network grows. Strong four stars!

My first time

Posted Mar 12, 2008 by Lihamylly

This was my first savvyaccount. I liked the graphics and GUI overall. They were nice and clear. The level of players in Paradise was quite average, but beating them in microstakes is not very difficult. And you can get the needed points in microstakes tables easily.

Personally I had some difficulties in tracking my account to savvy, but thanks to AWESOME customer support in Paradise(Taru in Finnish support) it was finally sorted out. I have to say I have never gotten better customer support than from Taru. I'll be adding 1 star just for her. Lol.

Easy bonus, clear GUI, supersupport, I recommend!

Paradise - a lot of savvypoints, and work

Posted Mar 04, 2008 by maxiv

Had quite an intensive day clearing this bonus. Ended up playing mostly 3/6 limit very loose pre-flop - was working for me at least. I would not recommend Paradise if you don't have at least 1k bankroll.

Easy Bonus, weak competition

Posted Mar 02, 2008 by poker123phil

The SavvyBonus is easy to clear , but the Paradise Bonus of 200€ is pretty tough for 0.5/1 and 1/2.
Players at Paradise are generally weak, you'll find fish at almost any table.

What I don't like about Paradise is the software. The tables are not resizeable. Shorthanded tables are 5-max(I prefere 6-max) and unfortunately there are only few Full Ring tables.

All in all a good poker room!

Huge Bonus, but difficult to clear.

Posted Feb 29, 2008 by antiheld77

Software was good, but the Bonus wasnt easy to clear...I played about 20,000 hands at NL25$ in two months!

My Paradise

Posted Feb 25, 2008 by LurQ

I played Paradise bonus with old rules of 400 raked hands. It was really easy to complete but I noticed that the rules have changed. Software at Paradise Poker is just great and they have really many tournaments to choose from any time. I continued playing tournaments at Paradise regularly also after I had completed my bonus. I play mostly 5-15€ sit and go tournaments and MTT tournaments with buy in like 5-20€. I think this bonus is worth of playing also with these new rules.

loose players on paradise

Posted Feb 24, 2008 by aase35

now the savvy points are hard to get because you need to rake a lot to get the points.

i was lucky to signup before when it was only a few raked hands.

the software is not so good but there are many loose players.

5 max

Posted Feb 19, 2008 by kolo5

I completed this bonus at the micro LH tables, since I only needed raked hands. I wasn't too thrilled with the 5 max tables, it's one man short IMO. Software is good, although a bit fussy having to deposit and withdraw through a separate website. Competition at the micro LH tables is very fishy. Tight aggressive gets the money everytime.

Playing @Paradise

Posted Feb 08, 2008 by p337

I played my bonus due playing Omaha Pot-Limit 25c/50c and 50c/1$. In my point of view it was easy to clear the bonus, it just took me about 2 days activ playing.
Cashout and Support is fast, all in all great Pokersoftware to play PLO.

Paradise

Posted Feb 05, 2008 by feineshelles

I like that you can play with different currencys on paradise. The software is not the best, but it´s ok. I played about 11,000 hands at NL50$ to reach 900FPP´s

Paradise

Posted Jan 29, 2008 by uglycard

A very good pokerroom. An average layout. Confusing Cashout and Deposit process. Average games. playing using different currencys vary VERY good.
But playing with diffrerent tables was not enjoyable as it could be..

Paradise Poker

Posted Jan 22, 2008 by Soossie

Software was pretty good, but you couldn't minimize the window so I could only play with 2 tables at the same time. The lobby is okay, you could see all what you at the lobby.

There's lot of south european players and those player give your max value every hand what you play. They just call call call with middle pair etc. so try to find those guys.

Bonus was easy to clear in NL10, but the deposit bonus what did you get at same time was pretty hard. I think I get only 10-20 € bonusmoney. So if you wanna play the deposit bonus too, you should probably play atleast NL25. Bigger stakes is faster ofc.

My review

To complete paradise poker-bonus is just like printing money, players at low-stakes are so bad.
Software is pretty good, great bonus !
Easy to clear !

Paradise or is it?

Another Boss Network. Lot's of players.I had pretty much loose opponents.Software is solid without any big glitches.Bonus ok nothing special.

My Paradise Poker Review

Posted Jan 03, 2008 by CaptainGH

the savvypoints for the paradise bonus were easy to get. But only under the old requirements. 900 FPPs under the new requirements are impossible with the limit I play.

positives: software and graphics are good. competition was weak.
negatives: no pokertracker support for 7c-stud and hold'em doesn´t work correctly. communications probs between paradise and pokersavvy.

Paradise Poker: 4/5!

Posted Dec 27, 2007 by Tailyn

A great place to play short handed tables. Even on the lower NL tables people play very very loose. I suggest playing the NL25 tables since from my experience it's easy money there. Besides the fact that you can make your profit from winning your hands the bonus is easy to clear.

The only part I didn't like is the game-play used in their software.

Great promotion

Posted Dec 26, 2007 by makan18

It`s one of the best promotion from pokersavvy. Paradise has got good software, and a lot of players on all limites. I recommend paradise as one of the best poker rooms for players from all limites and with a different experience.

real paradise

Posted Dec 22, 2007 by baslotinna

Finished this bonus for less then 2 days. Every raked hand is raked hand. Nice paradise support also. Players are very weak.

Easy bonus at Paradise

Posted Dec 19, 2007 by takikam

Paradise is an easy website to bonus collect at. Weak players, lots of games. Good bonus!

Paradise

Posted Dec 17, 2007 by vilipoek

No problems with paradise poker. Their own bonus system is great. It is pretty easy to clear and pays 10€ at a time, so no need to grind it all the way. I think it is a very good idea to play the 900fpp for 1300 savvypoints and 90€ of their own bonus.

The games are also good and the software is nice.

Great bonus!!!

Posted Dec 17, 2007 by Lindi

It simply was the greatest savvybonus ever! Very easy to clear! Paradise Poker is also great place. Software is easy to use and it looks great.

Good Bonus From Paradise

Posted Dec 13, 2007 by stojakovi

From my point of view, this is an easy bonus! Requirements to earn SavvyPoints is peaty low, even at the micro-stakes tables. The players are weak and exploitable, so you can even make some money while you finish your bonus!

Easiest bonus ever @ Paradise!

Posted Dec 12, 2007 by niksu444

This bonus was the most easiest bonus that I have ever played.

I only needed to play 400 raked hand, which meant that I needed to see only 400 flops!

The client was decent and the games were pretty easy.

However, the bonus has changed recently, making it a little harder to achieve - but overall still a good bonus!

My Paradise Review

Posted Dec 12, 2007 by lolo69

The Savvy requirements were easy before they changed it, but they still are not hard to achieve. The software is poor and their support is lacking, sadly.

However, on the upside, the competition is really soft and weak.

Not quite the paradise that I expected...

Posted Dec 11, 2007 by omvalta

Paradise poker has a really nice-looking software, but in my opinion the control buttons on the tables were packed too tight in the corner compared to the window size. The players seemed fairly good, but the low stakes tables had quite a few weak players to feast on! The savvy bonus was easy to clear, but the deposit bonus was challenging by comparison. I also found it rather odd that the money had to be transferred back and forth between a sportingbet account and the poker wallet.

My Paradise Poker Review

Posted Dec 11, 2007 by Uunis

The PokerSavvy bonus on Paradise is very easy one, and it only took 2 days for 4-tabling $25 No Limit Hold'em to clear. As a Bonus Site, this room deserves 5/5 stars. Unfortunately, Paradise suffers from support problems. Sadly, they don't always seem to know what they're talking about, except that their work is poker-related! (laughs). I thought Paradise's software is good overall, although several times some of my opened tables strangely disappeared. But overall, it was fine enough for me.

A Money Making Paradise! (Sort Of..)

Posted Dec 11, 2007 by derecht

Good news, the players on Paradise are really weak! But bad news, Paradise's software is just as bad as the players! Unlike other online poker sites, you can't resize the tables on Paradise, and they are pretty big to begin with. The tables play pretty fast which is nice, but without changing their size, it's rough on the user.

Easy Money on Paradise!

Posted Dec 09, 2007 by superarne

First off, Paradise Poker is a good, room for poker. The players are weak and fishy. Unfortunately, Paradise has poor software, in my opinion. Sweet tip - the bonus is easy to clear playing 7 card stud! Since everyone posts an ante - there's more money in the pot to be made and raked. I cleared the PokerSavvy bonus is just 400 hands!

Easy Bonus on Paradise!

Posted Dec 07, 2007 by RunItTwice

Clearing the PokerSavvy bonus on Paradise is very easy! Most of the players I played were not very good (especially on shorthanded tables), but I had a couple of horrible bad beats. ;D. The software is nice, and I liked its graphic layout. My only complaint is how large its tables are, and how I couldn't resize them to make them smaller. Overall, really enjoyed playing on Paradise, and most of all, earning those those 900 Savvypoints:)

My Paradise Poker Review!

Posted Dec 07, 2007 by funkaho

This is probably the easiest bonus to get SavvyPoints from. You only need 400 raked hands to meet the requirements, which is easy to do when multi-tabling four low-limit cash game tables.

My Paradise Poker Review!

Posted Dec 04, 2007 by Powercow

This may be the easiest PokerSavvy bonus. It's easy to clear, even at the micro-limit games. Their software is okay. This bonus is highly recommended!

Bad Software...

Posted Dec 04, 2007 by Tizer

The Paradise Poker software is very bad. There are no filters to sort the different games they offer. Every time you run Paradise Poker you must transfer funds from your SportingBet account before you can get started playing poker. This bonus isn't that easy to clear at $0.50/$1 limit Hold'em.

My Paradise Poker Review!

Posted Dec 04, 2007 by fisu

Paradise Poker is really easy to clear, even at the micro-stakes tables. The players there were bad, like they always are in low stakes games. Highly recommended!

I quickly earned the SavvyPoints, but...

Posted Dec 03, 2007 by ds55a

The SavvyPoints bonus can be earned real fast at Paradise Poker (I would have given them 5 stars for that), but they don't have a lot of full ring tables. I only managed to play at a maximum of three tables at the same time. The tables cannot be resized, and you cannot select where you are positioned at the table. When I start a session I have to move the windows around the screen until I can see the cards at each table, which is very annoying! Another problem is the clumsy system for inputting the amount to buy-in, when betting, or re-buying. I lost some pots because of that!

My Paradise Poker Review!

Posted Nov 30, 2007 by kecpik

This was my first bonus at PokerSavvy and I can say that I am very happy because now that I've earned my first SavvyPoints I can get some free gifts! This bonus was very good and I cleaned it fast! The Paradise software is good and fast!

My Paradise Poker Review!

Posted Nov 29, 2007 by Henk_M

The average skill level of players at this site was really low. I didn't think the graphics were very good. On the whole, it's not a very good site, but definitely playable for a very good bonus offer!

Easy SavvyPoints...

Posted Nov 28, 2007 by airiane

...but that's all. I really disliked their software, it's hard to see when it's your turn and when you fail to act in time you will then have to sit out of the very next hand, and you must pay a small blind to come back in again. This is really frustrating if you are trying to play at multiple tables or when playing at turbo cash game tables where you have less time to act. Unfortunately, you'll mostly be playing at turbo cash game tables because there's not much traffic in the regular games. Also, their software does not offer any resizable tables. On top of all that, they robbed me for $7! I deposited exactly $200, but SportingBet operates in Euros, so when I transferred my Euros to the poker room, I had only €193. As far as strategy goes, doing several hit and runs is my advice. As I mentioned, the SavvyPoints are easy to get, you don't even have to ask their support how many hands you've played, just just out your account details at the SportingBet homepage!

Easiest promotion!

Posted Nov 28, 2007 by criticus

In my opinion, Paradise Poker has the easiest promotion of all the poker rooms on PokerSavvy. I cleared the requirements within five days playing $0.05/$0.10 no-limit Hold'em. The opponents are very weak, so it's no problem to boost your bankroll while playing. The graphics are okay and my withdrawal was processed very fast. I got my money after only a few hours of waiting. The only con that costs the poker room one star is that their own deposit bonus is horrible. For every 100 Paradise FPPs you earn, you get $5 of your bonus. I only earned 1 FPP by the time I cleared the PokerSavvy bonus requirements.

Great Poker Room!

Posted Nov 23, 2007 by Micha2310

Paradise Poker is a really good online poker room. It's easy to get the 400 raked hands required to clear the bonus there. I played at the $0.1/$0.2 fixed-limit tables and got the bonus in less than a week. If you have problems claiming the deposit bonus you have to contact the live support team at Paradise Poker. Many good tournaments and freerolls every day. You can also place sports bets there. Try it, play it, win it!

I didn't like it...

Posted Nov 20, 2007 by Fabmaszter

This poker room has many things I did not like. First, they use Euros as currency and there are not many tables available at a time for full ring games. The software doesn't allow you to tile tables, so you have to move around windows every time you open a new one. Then you can only play at five tables at the same time. Although it was nice that the raked hands required to get the SavvyPoints were earned incredibly fast. So, if you want to earn a fast 900 SavvyPoints, go there!

My experience...

Posted Nov 20, 2007 by shtef

This is probably the easiest promo I've ever seen. To finish the bonus you must play 400 contributed raked hands, but it can be done in just a few hours, even at micro-limit tables. Very easy and almost no risk! There are also a few things I don't like about this poker site. My biggest complaint is their five-player maximum shorthanded tables which I don't like since I'm used to playing at six-player maximum tables. I highly recommend this promo to everyone!

Easiest!

Posted Nov 19, 2007 by Bonterosa

I think Paradise Poker's PokerSavvy bonus is the easiest bonus I have seen. It is very easy to clear and there is no big risk when playing at micro tables.

Quick and easy!

Posted Nov 18, 2007 by Jinou

Easy bonus to clear and they have quick cashouts. I don't personally like poker sites on the Boss Media Network, but it has a solid fan base as there are lots of bad players to be found at Paradise Poker.

My Paradise Poker Review!

Posted Nov 12, 2007 by evvk73

It's very easy to complete the PokerSavvy bonus, but the deposit bonus at Paradise is harder to complete. I didn't like the software, I accidentally pushed the 'Sit out next hand' button too many times!

Nice bonus!

Posted Nov 09, 2007 by Leviathan

It took me only three days playing two hours each day at $25 max buy-in no-limit Hold'em tables to clear this bonus. Their site wasn't the prettiest, but it worked. I liked their Turbo Sit'n'Goes.

Easy money!

Posted Nov 08, 2007 by Gabethebabe

A brand new PokerSavvy promotion and a very good one as well! I played $25 max buy-in No-Limit Hold'em to finish the bonus and it came pretty easy. Especially at the 5-max shorthanded games, the raked hands count goes up fast. There were plenty of bad players that handed over their money to me. The only thing I didn't like about Paradise Poker was the clearance rate of their sign-up bonus. Still, four stars ain't bad at all!

Great Site

I love paradise. Easy to clear. Great players to play against.

Easy Bonus, good Site

Posted Aug 31, 2006 by Cathamenia

+ good graphics
+ many tables and players
+ easy Savvy Bonus
+ easy to clear the Deposit Bonus

- small Deposit Bonus
- not possible to play more than 4 tables
- (many, many bad players and bad beats)

just 4 stars because of my bad experience with with the game there but all in all a very good SAVVY Bonus

My paradise experience

Posted Aug 23, 2006 by Lessu

It was easy to earn savvypoints at paradise since there were lots of tables at limits I play and very loose & poor opponents

Also they offered different games like pineapple and 5 draw, though I only tried pineapple.

The waiting list system is poorly designed, I sometimes had to open the table up where I wanted to join the waiting list. also the lobby didn't update waiting lists very well. Also for me it would be important to be able to open more than 4 tables. You can't at paradise.

Game play was pretty fast, I didn't notice any major bugs in that

All in all, I think I'm going to go back to paradise pretty soon.

A very nice poker room

Posted Jul 05, 2006 by octopus00

I really liked the graphics and the software, even though i had some bad beats but nothing too worrying.
The best point is probably the competition (NL HL tables) at my level (1/2).
Some of these players where very weak and the bonus is easy to clear

The paradise of poker

Paradise poker

Pros:
+one of the fastest and most helpful email supports I have ever seen
+good amount of 1/2 shothanded fixed tables

Cons:
-graphics are bit out of date
-not much to do with your frequent player points

Paradise Poker

Posted May 16, 2006 by mrshowdown

Nice ring games, but sometimes it's hard to find good table. Ring games (Full NL 100, 200) are tight (weak-tight) and there is sometimes too much competition. But you can always find a couple of bad players too. Software was good looking and it worked well, no disconnections. I liked the fast cashier and multi-tabling was easy. Bonus 25% up to $100 is not great, but quite easy to get.
